no i mean troops staying in their province for long can provide a few bonuses like defense bonuses

i believe it is not available as a feature, but, you should also specify the bonus and time taken

Entrenchment doesn't happen if you don't build forts or trenches, staying in the same place doesn't build trenches on its own. Just build forts.

Fortifications give you a defensive bonus, the higher the level of fortifications the bigger the defensive bonus.

Level 1: trenches with machine guns

Level 2: trenches with machine guns, barbwire and a bunker

Level 3: a defensive line of bunkers.

Troops defending in their cores deal 15% extra damage to the enemy and take 15% less damage when attacked.
