I actually really like this idea!V1nd1cat0r wrote:
Just a quick suggestion that suddenly pop up.Let us have a surge of manpower every time we lose a province.
The surge will come from civilians and refugees who have lost their homes and love ones and wanted to beat invaders back from their homeland for bringing war to them.
The surge of recruits would total the daily manpower production of the province, only core province since annex province have no loyalty to their former conquerers.
For example:
A province with manpower production of 100/h will give us 2,400 manpower when the enemy take over it.
This could give defenders a bit more to work on to reclaim lost ground and maybe even a counter-attack.
Yeah just a quick suggestion, no need to over analyze it.

Its realistic, people only realise the scale of a war once it hits home. WW1 was a perfect example of that.

Sounds great! Reminds Quasi of the Phoney War.
Yes but then you would have people who exploit it, they would get there ally to invade the province then they would take it back and their ally would take it again for virtually unlimited manpower(once the cap was reached they would build a few troops and repeat) good idea but too easily exploitable
^ What @ShadowHawk5 said, I like the idea of a system that gives the losing side a tiny bonus, but if it can be exploited like that, it isn't worth unbalancing the game over.
Of course, if it was something like 100 manpower, or 33% of daily production, I'd consider it to be a bit better, but then it's kind of adding complication for a relatively small gain in realism.

Well, some countries give a lot of manpower, especially with a lvl 3 barracks. It would be very helpful for Egypt, from what a friend told me. He was playing as Egypt, really struggled with manpower. Couldn't even build five light tanks a day early on.Kalantigos wrote:

It is exploitable, but let's be serious about it. would you sacrifice hourly income from a province that provide manpower, money, and res just for a sum of manpower? that's not even including others who found someone exploiting the "surge" and decided "you know what? exploiting that little system is bad, and you should feel bad."
i will not think twice but rush against someone who gave me a favorable opportunity, the reward of the system is not worth of exploiting if it means serving yourself in a golden platter, i want my grain income on full thank you very much, and that's not even including the money you will lose hourly, you need a LOT of money to keep going.
