Map marking

I feel like there should be a way to mark the map with important spots during a battle. Especially in coalitions to communicate with your allies better. For instance I am scouting in the Atlantic off the coast of Europe and come across a large Spanish fleet sitting idle off the coast. One of my allies is in a war with Spain. You can have a feature where I at the very least can put an X on the map and then the ability to click it and add a note. So I would put. "Spanish fleet spotted in this area with two level 3 battleships, three level 1 destroyers, one level 1 carrier." I think this would be a great communication addition to the game.
