I believe its to get Navies into comedic locations. You can fit a battleship anywhere with water. This also creates some interesting funnel points. I enjoy them because it makes some areas more defensible.
Map -- Rivers... What the Hell is that all about?
The rivers in the latest update (Nov 1, 2024) were obviously drawn by someone who has never taken a geography class in their life and hopes one day to see a real map.
Take the Congo for example. A river that never connects to Lake Victoria (which is a source of the Nile river running North). More curious is the fact that once you travel barely 130 km into the Congo, you come to the Yellala Falls which to this day is unnavigable. There are dozens of rapids and falls on the Congo that make this route both silly and unrealistic.
I love the concept, and in some places it makes sense, but for the love of all that is holy.. will someone please just look at a map!
