Just to clarify and add to my suggestion:
Realistic Borders: The map should feature the actual historical borders of that era (around 1950), especially the division of Germany (East and West) and Korea.
Historical Nations: Every single country that historically belonged to either bloc or actively participated in the proxy conflicts should be a playable nation with its real territories.
[Map Suggestion] The Cold War Turns Hot (1947–1950s Scenario)
Hello everyone and hello to the dev team,
I would like to suggest a new event map or permanent map scenario that is currently missing in Call of War: A Cold War Scenario, set right at the moment when the relations between the USA and the USSR collapse.
Instead of the usual WW2 settings, this map would bring a unique geopolitical balance and intense team play to the game.
🗺️ Map Overview & Teams
The map should be a fixed Team vs. Team scenario (2 fixed coalitions that cannot change), representing the two major Blocs:
Team 1: The Western Bloc (NATO & Allies) – Led by the USA, including nations like Great Britain, France, West Germany, Italy, Turkey, Canada, and their global allies (e.g., Japan, South Korea, Australia).
Team 2: The Eastern Bloc (Warsaw Pact & Allies) – Led by the USSR, including nations like Poland, East Germany, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, and their global allies (e.g., China, North Korea).
⚙️ Special Gameplay Mechanics
To make this map feel truly like the Cold War turning into a hot conflict, I suggest the following rules:
Advanced Start: Since it's the late 1940s/1950s, players should start with higher-tier technology already unlocked (e.g., early motorized infantry, early jet fighters, and rockets).
The Nuclear Threat: Nuclear research should be available much faster or players start with a small arsenal of rockets to simulate the "Mutually Assured Destruction" (MAD) doctrine.
Strategic Frontlines: The main battlefield would be a highly fortified border in Central Europe (Iron Curtain), but with global theaters of war active at the same time (Asia, Middle East).
I think this would be an amazing addition for players who love large-scale coordination, historical modern scenarios, and intense team matches.
What do you think? Let me know your feedback and thoughts on balancing this!
