Mercanaries V2.0

So, awhile ago I posted about a mercenary idea suggesting you could hire them on as troops. It's safe to say I was shot down quickly. BUT let me revise my original plan. In later games I get angry because I run out of manpower. So what if we solve this buy adding in the market you can BUY manpower as mercs! So im still tweaking the idea and constructive criticism would go a long way, but perhaps you could set a timer on the server to refresh an order if they are all bought out. Sound like a good idea ? 8o

Buying manpower sounds like slavery.

The past is a foreign country.

It does, but I guess as they are mercenaries...

Well, essentially that's what slavery is. Buying men.

The past is a foreign country.

well you are more like hiring them, and you are paying for them

they can say no, and refuse the task assigned

How come you run out of manpower? My manpower always just adds up, despite creating units and fghting several enemies at the same time.

The manpower depends on the nation, it's usually just an early game problem, but it's still there. I know as Yugoslavia, yo can't build as many infantry as you have ICs for, despit oter nations having surplus after this

"Honor? Glory? There's no point in speaking to a killer who indulges in such nonsense."
"It's a crime we call victory, paid for by the pain of the defeated"
