I presume it takes two days because the province has no IC. Meaning that instead of quickly making arms locally others have to be gotten.ShadowHawk5 wrote:

In my opinion they do take a little to long to produce, considering what they are.
Well thats the reason why, they take 6 hours with a level 5 IC but you might as well produce infantry in that case. I can understand gathering arms for those who do not own them or whatnot but 2 days is a little extreme and makes them pointlessQuasi-duck wrote:

Exactly random civvies off the street who have a gun or have acess to oneKollin wrote:

It is not so much grabbing random civilians. They need to be organised, trained, and get weapons.ShadowHawk5 wrote:

In WWII militia would have a few trucks, AT rifles, some light artillery, and most importantly of all stocks of ammo. This is the stuff that takes time to collect as civilians don't exactly have a Brandt mortar lying around to shoot that fox eating their chickens, now do they?
I agree with you point Quasi, but I will say that for the sake of balance the time should at least be slightly reduced.Quasi-duck wrote:

Well, it will be a bit unfair if we spawn units that can knock out tanks and such in a city in a few hours with no IC.Kollin wrote:

That's why i'm suggesting they be weaker. They would not have mortars or the like but the quick time to train them would make them usable in their intended role of holding down captured provinces(like cmon in the 2 days it would take to train them or assuming they were already built then arrive, either the province has already rebelled or its morale would have increased) and providing a stopgap defense.Quasi-duck wrote:

If a light tanks takes 12 hours to produce from a level 5 factory I doubt a few hour reduction on militia would change to much.
Exactly. A level 1 light tank can steamroll a level 6 militia so you should at least be able to make militia quickerKollin wrote:

Would they be permanently weaker, no matter where produced?
Interesting thought perhaps retain the stats in cities(whether an IC or not) but in non city non IC provinces they are weakerQuasi-duck wrote:

I was about to say that if that was the case, I would be against the idea as it makes it harder for the devs to code.ShadowHawk5 wrote:

How can you be against an idea if it's hard to do? Right now the game is great but complex coding could really bring a lot in the future.
I mean, they can't get much worse, but the idea is a nice and fast unit to hold backline cities or cities getting blitzed through.ShadowHawk5 wrote:

'Fast' unit?
I agree with the proposition though, I like militia to be used as a blockade unit, and if they take out a unit here and there, thats a bonus.
So I build them when I have lots of MP reserves and/or I really really REALLY need ANY unit to be builded.
The thing is, if you have an IC, basically all other units are better in a direct fight, unless you are charging them with an arty in a forest, obviously
Fast unit to recruit I mean

I think I suggested before, that maybe we could add a feature to Militia...
for example, stealth ability in core provinces( prob not.. maybe?)
or when they are stationed in a Provence, moral increases.. since they are militia..

That is a good idea! Stealth in core!

Do you think old men and children know how to camouflage like the IDF? Or even the Magic Gang? 'Cause history proves they generally cannot.
