If you have other buildings they build quicker, not sure how you can train a militia faster when you have to gather weapons and uniforms and there are no factories.
Militia should train faster.
Militia...
-Intended to be an emergency unit
-Basically a bunch of guys given uniforms and guns
-Gets a quick training course on which way to point the gun before being sent (or in peacetime, disbanded)
But in this game...
-In provinces without other buildings, can take 2 days to train. Which means you get overrun.

Yeah, but they also should train faster than 2 days, factory or not. They're meant to have no training (or little) and just be sent out, mostly to delay the enemy.

Attack rapidly, ruthlessly, viciously, without rest, however tired and hungry you may be, the enemy will be more tired, more hungry. Keep punching.

Ignoring their slowness militia are already way more effective (for example: (HP+power)/upkeep or /build speed) than infantry using any reasonable criteria and more effective than most other units for that matter. In other words, they are already OP, although most people don't seem to realize this. Being able to make them without an IC is just a bonus. That being said, due to their slowness they are not much use other than defense.
They train in twelve hours given there is a supply from factories. That is half of the time as infantry. If you need troops faster than that, the militia aren't going to help you, at all. Best bet is to start an industrial complex as well as militia, in two days you will have both finished, and the IC can start cranking out actual infantry (or more militia).

Well, militia train time is pretty ridiculous without an IC. You'd think that they'd be a good emergency defense for an outer province. Two days is clearly enough time for the enemy's tanks to walk in and steal a good chunk of your land. Militia should have a nerf in stats, but it should be able to train faster (12 hours without IC?) so it can serve as a unit to make the enemy lose a tiny bit of morale and be annoying until you can pull over enough real troops to make a legitimate fight.
Also, in some countries, militia were equipped without uniforms - they merely got guns and got sent to fight. Militia work fine without uniforms - for the Eastern European tech trees, some militia are photographed in civilian clothing (resistance fighters, maybe?).
The low province morale of a freshly taken province trying to revolt will harm the garrisoned oppressors. These are the resistance fighters.
The militia are organized as best as they can be. They wouldn't' always have uniforms, but their weapons need to be produced. This would be difficult without an industrial complex.

Or you could just give them bows and arrows.
Like Tibet did against an incoming commie army.
Slingshots are the best weapon ever - you never have to worry about ammo (The Things They Carried reference).
Also, what if they're invading a core province of yours? Then the "resistance" would be fighting in favor of your cause.
Uhh, not against a blitzkrieg. A good blitz will take enough territories to 'cushion' the other taken territories, effectively crushing any revolts before they can even take place.WiseOdin wrote:
