No, it shouldn't. The 'ability to misquote' people is to be able to produce quotes in other threads.
Misquoting Ability
The ability to edit quotes should be punished after a certain amount of abuse. Examples of what you can do are below but I will not edit the quotes to a point where they may offend the OP.

No, I must've phrased it wrong. I mean to remove the ability to edit quotes.

So then how do you 'carry' quotes from one thread to another?
I mean to edit quotes. Saving them and carry them from thread to thread is fine. Changing the actual words in the quote should not be an ability.

But right now you can't carry them from thread to thread without using the 'ability to misquote' button.
You do not seem to understand what I am saying. Let me run through it.
The ability to change the words within quotes should be removed.
Got it?

No, I actually do understand what you mean. But you don't seem to understand what I mean. Righot now, if I wanted to quote you from another thread, I'd have to go to that thread, then come to this one, and press 'Reply', and then the quote button. The quote button is what enables changes in the quotes in the first place. But whatever. I am too tired to discuss about anything. Good night.
Alright. As you would say *facepalm*
I do not want to remove the ability to quote, which is what you seem to think.

Whatever. I just realised we misunderstood each other a lot. Whatevs.
Lol.

How would you quote somebody in another thread without being able to 'misquote'? This seems like a good idea, but you have not given any alternatives to the current system.
you are a balls
How about we leave the system as is, but a certain level of abuse will break ToS?
Besides, clicking on the quote takes you to the original.

That seems best, I will edit the thread.Kalantigos wrote:

what??? You literally click "quote", it adds the quote to your quotes list, then you go to another thread, mark the quote, and press "insert marked quotes". You don't need to retype what the quote said in the first place.GreatbigHippo wrote:

I did not know this.
