Multi account has to stop

I agree with everyone who agree that multi account has to stop. I used to think that this game like it's predecessor Supremacy1914 had ways to deal with multi account cheating, apparently it doesn't I have met and always fought against players who use multi account.

I found out about their cheating trough spies revealing illogical information about them an supposed allies and trough watching irregular behaviour between them and their allies as well as defeated enemies, who sends all their forces to try to take me down because I am at war with the guy that destroyed them.

Stuff like this gives some of the most extreme unfair advantages to cheaters and I don't think whoever is in charge of running Callofwar have done anything significant to stop this.

What do you want them to do? Ban multi-accounts? They already do that.

And how do you know they're cheating? Because they're close Allies? I don't really understand what you mean.

There are ways to deal with multi-account players, the most useful is to report them.

Always? Such a bad luck.

While i read this and i see there's no reference to: "and i reported them". I'll keep thinking you didn't done that, so the EN Support Team couldn't work on it properly and ban the multi-accounts.

You can find the button in: Diplomacy > i > Report Player

I agree, more needs to be done

I have had some obvious incounters,

I have had a player with 4 accounts, and he even admitied in game messages

kinda obvious when, they share mao automaticly

on same time

no messages between on another

and huge amount of res trading

If it is obvious, just report them, they'll be banned. However, I do agree that more needs to be done. I'd suggest something that checks for a user's IP, it should help a bit if someone is multi-accounting.

lol ur wrong about that. thats not an obvious encounter, however it can be.

But thats not always the case, alliance mebers or non alliance but friends do that too.

My alliance likes to jump ona 100map with 4 or 5 guys so yeah do the sharemap and send resources too. theres no messages neither, bcos we talk in alliance chat and over facebook.

So though it can be a indication, it doesnt have to be..

I agree on the auto ip check thing on the start of the game though. especially on 100 maps.

Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world.

Already added, the system send us reports when 2 users have the same IP.

thats great ^^

so then most of the multi accounters must then use those ip address change sites, just a different pc at home or vpn?

i hope theres a way to combat that.

I can't report them because my report player button doesn't work a blank screen shows up every time and trust me some of these guys do it for sure, you can find out trough the communication sometimes. I mean one of these guys attacked a neighbouring country then when I went to war with that guy, the remnants of the now destroyed country's army (which was all of the start troops because he moved them out before the attack) attacked me does that make sense. Later when I accused him through his multi account puppet, he told me some fake story that sounded like bullshit.

To some people winning is more important than actually playing and having fun. Kind of sad.

see with the IP that is a prob

as in school etc people play, and can hence be banned

dont think that a great way to go foward

I see multi account as a problem when people think you were allied with players doing that and share maps and other trade and get accused and bullied against a huge alliance for no reason. I know I don't multiaccount/

if you don't have another acc, don't worry

OceanHawk brings up a good point, what if you play CoW with your friends at school? Since you have the same IP when you are at school would that put you at risk of being banned? Especially if you are playing on the same map with a school friend. Me and my roommate both play CoW usually on the same map

You should contact support and talk with them.

The IP check is not the solution always. I have myself experienced multi-accounting. Not telling he did the way I know of it, but at least we managed to deal with him.

So the point is, the biggest advantage is for those with a dynamic IP. For example, I have a dynamic IP. I enter a game with a single account, do something, quit. Then go and make another account after I restarted my internet adapter. Boom, I have another IP and I'm playing as an absolutely another player. And I can do that infinite amount of times. So frankly, it's not a big problem for those that have dynamic IP. Neither does an IP ban work for them, and I'd say even a range ban.

However there's not an enormous amount of people with such IPs. So it's good to have such a protection. But I seem to find lack of mods on the game at midnights/afternoons.

I think the best solution, is a faster response, to when we find a multi acc user

Fair enough. Made sure to leave the game when I knew as I was beat because of their odd and unfounded problems with me, had started a new Japan anyways they won't see hahaha
