I swear i thinking to write a similiar thread after i saw ryans thread as it gave me the idea and yea it would be a nice addition but it can also create a lot of room for toxcity in my opinion

Named Units
Just a simple suggestion really, I think it'd be nice to have the ability to rename my units to a custom name. I don't really see a problem with it or a benefit, but just a nice little feature to have. I like to rename my military units to have historical names, because I am weird like that, so uh, yeah, having the ability to rename units to custom names would be cool?

I believe as long as there are limits to the names (such as forbidding strong or insulting language) this is a really good suggestion. If this came out, first thing I would do is to name my largest divisions "Army Group (N/S/E/W)" or something like 1st Army of Normandy.

This is a topic that players suggested in the past already and is on our long list of potential features for the future.

Mine would be having unit names but not customizing. Simply changing the unit name in a stack.killingone wrote:

I just wanted to be able to rename stacks of units, so instead of it being "1st Armored Car Division" it would just be "1st Armored Division" or some other name.
