I think the Naval bombers just need to be have much higher damage and HP, not to mention an improvement of their horrid range.
But yeah, you're right. People need incentives to use naval bombers.

Naval Air Defense
I would suggest that the Naval Air defenses be lowered, especially against the Naval Bombers.
The bombers take too much damage. In some cases the Cruiser's defense is higher than the Bombers attack #'s.
Lvl 6 NB and Lvl 6 Cruisers are a push at 13 Attack & 13 Def. This doesn't seem right, especially when factoring in HP.
It was the ability of aerial attacks that made Battleships obsolete and the Carrier king of the seas.
I think the game should reflect this with either higher attack #'s for the bombers or lower air defense values for ships.
Another way to solve this could be the introduction of a torpedo bomber unit.

I've used NB quite effectively. They way I use them is the way Germans used them in WWII. You use tac bombers against ships((DD, BB and CC) Germans commonly used the JU 88 against them)) and for patrolling seas against convoys(and subs) I use NB(Germans used FW 200 Condor for this). I suggest you try it. I think ships should have better AA than thhey already have, especially DD.

So the only reason to use naval bombers is to destroy subs? That's a pretty lame use, considering subs can't hit land and you could just use a destroyer.Butter Ball Bill wrote:

Meh, NB do it pretty good and are the only aircraft that can harm subs.

I too have used the TB on ships, they seem MORE effective than the NB. The point or question is, shouldn't NB be better at their role instead of the TB?

No. The tacs would have a higher bomb load and most likely are tougher with better bomb sights as well as being used in larger numbers. All of those contribute to a better ability to blowing stuff up.

I mix Naval, Tac and Fighter to kill fleets. It works pretty well.

the NB is specifically made for destroying fleets, their attack rating is much higher against ships compare to the TB.
