Naval Control

Does anyone else think that all ships, especially submarines, should be able to patrol an area on the seas just like aircraft in the sky?

I agree! Especially subs! I also think subs should be able to travel under all ships except destroyers. Maybe you can also tell them what ships they can attack on patrol rather than biting a destroyer and getting blasted. :D

Interesting idea.

"I came, I saw, I conquered" Written in a report to Rome 47 B.C., after conquering Pharnaces at Zela in Asia Minor in just five days; as quoted in Life of Caesar by Plutarch; reported to have been inscribed on one of the decorated wagons in the Pontic triumph, in Lives of the Twelve Caesars, Julius, by Suetonius.
"Alea iacta est" Gaius Julius Caesar.

well.. you can already just use Add target, and have them follow a certain direction...

Sounds good!

It would be real, and they could hit convoys better. :D

It would make destroyers more valuable.

also add trade routes ^^ so subs can hunt convoys

oh and nerf the subs

Subs have already been nerfed to hell.

perfect idea

patroling around the english channel and getting a detailled report of all ships spotted like with airplanes

for trade routes : again a perfect realistic idea but maybe impossible to add to the game even though it's still a good idea

Man, you guys would have a hard day patrolling any players with experience: most people combine destroyers with larger ships, thus meaning the subs wouldn't be able to pass under that stack.

that's true but having a patrol mode allows to recon the area with out engaging exept if detected by Naval bomber

Exactly, and if you're not playing an experienced player, it's a field day. ;)
