Naval Patrol Plane

Split Naval Bombers into:

1. Naval Bombers with current range and effect against surface ships and minimal effects against subs and no ability to detect subs

2. Naval patrol planes with long range, ability to detect subs, limited effects against surface ships and better effects against subs

Naval Bombers are a silly compromise that satisfies no one.

Subs should only have effective AA against naval planes

Split the Airforce into:

- reconnaissance plane (long distance, can spot subs, no ground attack)

- interceptor (dog fight)

- tactical bomber (against ground units)

- strategic bomber (against buildings)

- navel bomber (can't detect subs, against naval units and subs)

Thanks Xarus - that is a perfect summary

Ehm, interceptor are high speed planes for attacking bombers. You're thinking of fighters.

They also need to change their look at some point. They look like a Bi-Plane gone wrong...

What plane for which nation?

Change the planes into the following:

  • Fighter- same as interceptor, just different name, as interceptors are specifically against bombers. Big patrol area.
  • Tactical bomber - same as now. Can be deployed from carrier when level 4+.
  • Strategic bomber - same as now, maybe add a bit more damage against cities
  • Maritime Patrol Aircraft - can discover subs, very high attack against subs, very bad against surface ships. Extremely big patrol area.
  • Torpedo bomber - can't discover subs, extremely good against surface ships, very bad against subs.

The planes in bold can be deployed from carriers.

The past is a foreign country.

This makes no sense....

You asked which planes looked like a Ni-Plane gone wrong, and I just answered it. Sorry.
