Thought it might be a cool idea to have a unit similar to the commando but for the water. Navy seals could be in faster smaller boats that could intercept other water units at a higher speed. They wouldn't have much damage capabilities but they can evade so they have high defenses. This means they won't be able to kill anything but they have the ability to hold up ships in the water until the other naval forces arrive. Just a thought....

Only naval special forces i can think of during WW2 was the SBS, maybe the Marine raiders at a push.

Yes, the Royal Marines of the Special Boat Squadron/Section (SBS). Also, the Underwater Demolition Teams (UDT) of the U.S. Navy, but the UDT activities were mostly limited to beach preparations before amphibious assaults. The SBS were much wider ranging in their commando activities. And, of course, the parent Royal Marines are generally considered an elite amphibious force, and even incorporate the word "commando" into their unit names.

RM are pretty cool, I did some training with them when they came by College. The term also was given to some army units, but as to answer the thread, we only have the SBS
