New AI

While I am very grateful to the devs for improving the AI, it is now easier to take over(in a way). I was playing with a buddy and he went inactive for a bit and when he came back, he attacked me. The problem came when he lumped his army together(he didn't want to play anymore) and he had a 22 strong army(after I had taken some stuff out before he clumped everything). In that army of 22 was some AC, some inf and 11 AA! I managed to catch up and kill this with 9 LT. I had just wiped most of his army with 9 LT, which is ridiculous.

Also, when I was playing another round, there was some small countries left over and I decided to conquer them. When I scouted their forces(which were in high lvl forts), it was mainly AA so I killed all of Austria and Switzerland with about 15 LT and MT(altogether) with little or no casualties. In total my bombers which had supported them only killed 1 unit, the tanks doing the rest because of the AA threat.

While all the AA stops bombers, you can take countries with a couple of tanks with ease.

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, I believe AI is there to be taken over easily.

The past is a foreign country.

I have yet try out the Elite AI(I keep getting invited to games) but the current AI is laughably weak.

And also incredibly painful to deal with once they start moving all their units into one city, requiring you to match up against their stack of over 20 units. Nuclear bombers usually do the trick though, as I used one for the first time against a stack of 21 Romanian troops :D

Nice, I haven't gotten to do that yet. The best I have done is cripple a country with 10 nukes in one go.

Well let's just say it works wonders against AI stacks and/or player stacks. Lvl 1 a-bomber reduced 21 units to just 2. It caused enemy casualties in the WH report to jump from 30K to 50K, and the rest died off after I bombed them with tac bombers.

Another problem. In a game I am playing, I was about to invade Denmark(have my troops en-route to attack) when I saw a Danish convoy. So I sank it, killing 5,100 men. After multiple minutes of waiting and WH post, we are still not at war. You can see the problem with this, right?

I find the AI challenging enough. That is, if you compare it to the S1914 AI. It has some basic tactical parameters programmed in so it defends sensibly in regard to where attacks are taking place.

But I agree with some of the others here, the units that the AI builds should be more varied. I do think its getting better step by step on almost a weekly basis and the devs are taking this the right way.
