This was the initial plan but sadly it is pretty hard to pull off due to how much the codebase has changed since then. For example alot of UI stuff has been built on CoW1.5 mechanics, so UI would for sure break with old mechanics. We would need to support 2 versions again to make it work. Because the effort would be big but the benefit rather mediocre (besides some fun for oldschool players) it did not get priority so far. So sadly I doubt that this will be happening.

Would this be using the Pacific Theater map, but just with the historical boundaries and units of 1942?

I’d love this along with bringing back the 1943 Mediterranean map. These smallish historical maps are always a nice treat to get in events!

I liked 1945 endsieg, I didn't ever play the 1943 map.

Team map of 9 countries in 3 teams Axis allies and Soviet. With year 1945 borders and tech progression. If like 9 very competitive people joined it would be fun.

Yeah it’s called 1944. Thing is they make Germans way to strong as by that point the West or Soviets could have soloed the Germans, but they understandably made Germany very strong to make up for being in between two factions and weakened their enemy’s.

Paris was liberated in august '44 so that would make sense. Pretty sure its end game 1944
