Colors were made softer because community was asking for that, my opinion, it looks bether.
New graphics
These are absolutely horrible - thanks for wrecking a game bytro!!
In places off yellow looks like grey. I thought something had gone wrong with my computer. This needs attention otherwise the game is unplayable.
There are some people who have a degree of visual impairment and I am one of them. I just cant see some of this stuff. Absolutely shocking.
BAD BAD move.

I also now get small flashing black dots all over the screen, which doesnt happen in new low graphics or anywhere else.Suna232 wrote:

The new graphics are discriminatory but I suppose that thought never entered the designers minds.
The sand yellow looks in certain places like grey it is awful just shit really.
i like it.. sometimes its to fog though
Dont worry, if there are any bugs abouth new graphic, feel free to report them.
New graphics are NEW and do have bugs
Itβs good wdym.
Although, I don't necessary like it. I still enjoy the game overall. Also, most of the community would agree that it's a good improvements. Many players have been suggesting that the colors should be less brighter.
I dont know why but it seems more professional to me, but at the same time it is very dull.

The changes were made based on requests from the community. So we adressed direct player feedback. That this now isn't liked by other players shows how difficult it is to juggle all the varying opinions in this community. But we still aim to improve of course
One area that was mentioned where colors are now too dark are for islands, we will look into it.
First things first, the colours wreck the map in Relation view, your provinces look like neutral provinces in some areas. Also The art renders some areas differently so i thought neitral sweden lost one of her cities when in fact she didnt.

The Islands are a problem and the colour shade is too dark. Straight after the change two islands looked liked they had changed neutral. Thought my graphics card hard failed. Is a poor decision and affects those with a visual impairment. Bad move I am afraid and discriminatory too.BrutusTrump wrote:
I dont know if the game designers have re-modified, but it seems a little better. The islands are too dark though. The problem is they start to look like neutral territory, which in a war is not a good idea !
Agreed.BladeFisher wrote:

I think a lot of people don't realize any change always affects someone. You can go to #RestoreCANVAS and see. Of course the best would be if we could switch, but freezy said each possible combination of the graphics modes has its own bugs, so we have to choose one I guess...BladeFisher wrote:

Larger armies destroy enemies faster without taking damage from them.
Build only: 1 military building in each city, airstrips, and recruiting stations to boost manpower.
Minimize research, 2 unit types early, 6 types in late game. Upgrade old units, but: artillery lv1 to lv2 is a waste, only lv1 to lv4 is worth it.
Enjoy

Indeed.
With the next release we will also make islands brighter again, as promised earlier in this thread.
Great, yeah theyβre right. Island are way too dark
could you make province centres slightly smaller
