New Map Idea
I think a cold war map would be interesting. Automatic coalition for Warsaw pact and Nato. I did this in a 1939 accurate world map but the Soviet Union was way to weak to stand up to the rest of the superpowers in the world. In the new map a much stronger soviet union would have to exist plus a much stronger US. Other countries would be playable but you cant join a coalition. I am not sure what to do with Japan but maybe have their own coalition with a country like China. I am not sure. The best time period I think would be the late 70's. Back then the Warsaw Pact and Nato were pretty much equal. Either it can be like a regular game where you declare war on the other coalition or the game has an automatic time where you go to war and all countries are at war with the other coalition. 3rd party countries could join, that would be the point. of setting up alliances earlier in the game. Also when the coalition leader declares war everyone has to go to war.

what new technologies? Nukes should not be in this scenario. rocket fighters can be jets and sp rocket artillery exists. I mean just replace the names and the level system still works.

Nukes were the first thing to come in mind when you think about the cold War. No nukes?

No nukes because then it makes the game not fun. 50's would also be ineteresting. Any time is fine

As this is a WWII game it is unlikely that a Cold War map will ever be implemented. Bytro's sister company, Dorado, has a game called Conflict of Nations that is a modern version of this game. Your CoW login works in CoN as well.
