1] In a province with sea coast (regardless if a road goes to the sea or not)
2] Range of 45 in a radar like line
Ignore bad image but the line should be like the gap in the circle
3] Cannot fire inland
4] Direction once fixed cannot be moved by more than 10 degress either side (direction will be manually taken just like the position of harbour is selected)
5] 15 damage against sea units (0 damage against submarines)
6] It will be positioned 20 game distance away from the coast
7] 10 damage to land units (whatever class) in its firing line
8] CANNOT HIT A SUBMARINE OR ANY UNIT OUTSIDE ITS FIRING LINE
9] Manual selection of LOCATION and direction. gun can be further than 20 range from the coast but not less than 20
10] Firing line extends for 45 range

Youβll have to increase range, 45 would be easily outranged by All other ranged units, per alone battleships. Also making their strength go higher per level of building to make them survive in late game would be smart.

Make it 75 or 85 and get 3 levels:
level 1 Haubitze L/12 (28 cm)
level 2 38 cm SK C/34
level 3 Adolfkanone (40.6 cm)

You have to remember that this is not a unit but a building that will be used in all doctrines. It shouldnβt pu or underange battleships, just make it equal.

they should be produced in any province or city adjacent to sea regardless if a road goes to sea or not
so they can be made even in rural provinces
and cities like Dubrovnik

As long as it can have a port, yes. Road should have to go to sea though. If you donβt have the infrastructure to go to the ocean then how can you build something near it?

This building has so many numbers and factors I feel like the game can't handle it. Why not just make it possible to upgrade railroad guns? The same thing can be said for coastal batteries and any ither ordnance unit, pushing troops away is their job.

I donβt think that it needs to this complicated. Just build then where you build ports, have 3 levels and battleship range, and thatβs all.

Sound idea, although I would make it incorporate into Railroad Guns instead because a lot of coastal batteries were guns on tracks that could move into position and out of it when threatened by bombing.

I donβt know if they could code switching from mobile to immobile that easily though. It might be easier to make a building-unit instead for that reason.

Iron Order 1919 has the Siege Mech which switches from mobile to immobile to fire. I would still just not have coastal batteries because then the Railroad Guns would become almost useless.

Wait what? Itβs already the Meta and like the unit most used by pros! It would still have longer range. Hell, if anything your making it too overpowered. No good.

bro the adolfkanones at Batterie Lindemann were bombed so many times but were not really damaged, only a shot form a british railgun hit Bruno turret but that was it
