Good question, they also need to be towed and dropped at altitude. The luftwaffa used them to transport fallschirmjäger in Crete and Fort Elbe. One glider could hold 9 fallschirmjägers, Germany built about 1700.
New Unit Idea
Could you guys create an aerial troop transport? You could make it have limited range and could only drop troops off at air bases, so you’d still have to use paratroopers or ships for initial attacks. Then the rest of the forces could be sent in by air.

To answer your first question, this was maybe about 2 years ago. There were coalitions, and I was in one, with only a single partner. The other side had three or four members, I think. But back then, there was a much higher limit to coalitions...that was changed down, for the better.General cdub wrote:
So when did this game play out? Was this in 2015 to early 2016? I only ask as that was before Coalitions and games could take 3 to 6 months in the World Map. In today’s game with coalitions and the lesser VPs required to win, I do not see how anyone could build 15 plus Nukes let alone 52. Last question would be is with all that devastation you are describing, is this due to you starting a newer account? Your current account says you have 0 kills using Nuclear Rockets.I am also very surprised you needed Nukes in the old 1 vs 1 map. I played that map one time only. Game was over in less than 6 days with me winning it. I was GB and in the end I never played the map again.
That a huge match could go on and on is not uncommon. You may have experienced heavy golders who just blitz across the world with hundreds of Light Tanks, etc. But when you have more than one experienced player(s) who has/have a penchant for strategy games — and the time to actually play them out — you can still get games that last seemingly forever. While it's not my forte, I remember one player who related to me about a match in Supremacy 1914 that he was participant in, that was so vast, and so heavily challenged by many great strategic players, that it was [at the time] still going on, well into it's second year! And, I have no doubt that he was telling the truth. That was probably at least a year or two ago, so I can't remember the player, though I'm sure I could figure it out because he and I both used to play in the Players League.
As to the current state of the game, I still have matches that can last for months. And yes, I can build many nukes, though I haven't done so too much as of late. Regardless, publicly, I will neither confirm nor deny whatever conjecture you have about the state and/or existence of my player account. That's none of your business and I would never wish to say or do anything that violates the Bytro TOS. On a side note, the stats for Kills are not of all units, but only of units of the same type, so if my nukes says I killed 50 and lost 30, then it means I have destroyed 50 nukes from other players and have lost 30 nukes of my own, destroyed by other players.
Finally, the last pic was from a 2 player match — my only one I ever played — in which I was challenged by another person who considered themself to be a great strategist. The game started slower as we were both playing a bit more defensively (common amongst high-strategy players). We even both traded on the market and even with each other at first, seeing whom can outwit the other in non-combative principles.
But when the war finally broke out, he had a naval superiority, and I had an artillery superiority. He made up for it with heavy amounts of arms but couldn't break my fortress mentality, never successfully landing on Great Britain. At the same time, I couldn't penetrate mainland Europe for more than a short while. Additionally, he started mass producing Railguns to close the gap between us while I focused on rockets.
Eventually, I "out-subbed" him enough to put his capital ships out of commission (he had done the same to me, earlier in the match, so I was finally able to mount an invasion. But I knew it never would last unless I seriously crippled his own fortresses and factories. So I went about building up a nuclear stockpile. At the same time, he got busy or bored and started checking in less often — as did I — until finally, I was ready to strike....and I hit him hard, but not until I was sure he was checking in again (I wanted a fair fight, after all, since it was a challenge of wits, not the ability to see who could be online the most). And the rest is history.....
You are paying very close attention to details that have no bearing on the point of the picture. It was not a setup. However, the other player (Poland) was inactive at that point, so I stalled a while to build up for one spectacular shot. Note that I did not say that the match pictured in that picture was one that I was proud of, simply that it was my favorite screenshot. The other battle and war...and match...portrayed in the shot where I'm playing as North India is my proudest of the era. There was no setup, no fakes, and in both matches, there were no multiple accounts. I do not cheat in this game. For me, it's about principle, not even just about following the rules. I have a code I live by in life, and that includes in gaming with other players. That is why I refuse to buy gold, even though I would like to help fund this game (if I could). Were it a single player game, I might consider buying the premium currency (though in practice, I tend not to (I'm old school, I prefer purchasing title to a game, not "leasing" or pay to win, etc.)).General cdub wrote:
On another note, I see you are taking in $11,740 per hour or $275,280 per day, You still have $875K in cash as well. The amount of cash not to mention other resources to research and build that many Nukes not to mention all the other units you have, that there sir still puzzles me.
The details you've gleaned from the picture were only carefully redacted enough to protect my identity. The facts of the resource values are irrelevant (as I stated at the beginning of this response) in the face that it's a picture that is cool to look at. It's not about bragging (though I do point out that I had the 52 rockets). It's basically about doing something that can only ever be done in a very rare instance, making flower-like patterns out of the pink rocket trails of the gaming simulation. And with a map of Europe underneath, I found the idea of it to be fascinating, so I set it up with hours and days and weeks of painstaking work (this after I had beaten the Poland player to the point of not being willing to play the match, anymore (I guess he must've quit the match out of boredom).
So, if you're still puzzled, then you are missing the forest for the trees.
That is an interesting observation, but as with the date of my account, the details can be manipulated if one is careful enough. Still, you are wasting your time trying to guess and figure out this stuff. If you really want to know such answers, just ask me plainly — in a private message — and I'll tell you.General cdub wrote:
Also, as we can't see the name on the account, (not sure if this was done on purpose or not), but it does show that the account for Algeria was a level 66 and your current account shows you at 65.
