Just a couple of new unit ideas to bolster the Stealth-units within the game, and increase the play-style.
Name: Pirate Ship.
Type: Sea (ship), Stealth
The real world has pirates....why not the game?
Pirate ships should be a stealth unit and fast moving, and if they engage with an undefended convoy, they take over the unit (Just like pirates takeover a vessel). Obviously there would have to be some kind of balance worked out with this, but say 1 pirate vs. 1 convoy, the convoy(whatever the unit) is effectively "stolen" and becomes yours, and joins the stack with the pirate ship.
In terms of firepower, I imagine they would be very much like a weak version of a battleship i.e. moderately good against ships, weak to subs, weak to air
---
Name: Assassin
Type: Infantry, Stealth
Again.. the real world has hitmen. They should be extremely powerful vs infantry... but weak to everything else. They should have a huge viewing range, and be able to attack infantry from distance (like artillery) - Imagine a long range sniper unit. Another new stealth unit.
---
Name: Blackbird
Type: Plane, Stealth
The games first stealth-plane, it's a recon plane, the idea being you might make a few of these to patrol enemy territory undetected, to see enemy units. They should have a huge radius for both view, and distance they can travel and can only be detected by interceptors. In terms of firepower, they would have very little attacking power, and be weak to planes and AA. The enemy should not be able to see them, or their patrol circle without nearby interceptors entering their patrol circle.
Appreciate Blackbird may not be WW2... but it'd be cool anyway
Let me know your thoughts guys!

No. Piracy hit an all time low in WWII. Sinking ships was far more common than raiding them.

You're a bit late to the party, my friend. These already exist: Commandos, in the most recent update, are stealth infantry units with a crapton of power.

See, we used to have nuclear units, like subs, battleships, and carriers, but they got removed for that very reason: not WWII.
Even if it weren't for that, recon units are functionally useless in a game about war. You can use spies to the same effect.

Thanks for reading and replying
Might have hit a low, but it was still there, and has always been there, so its still a perfectly valid suggestion, and I think would be a fun addition to the game.
As for Assassin, I'm very well aware of commandos, and what I'm suggesting is very different...
Weird they didnt remove rockets / nuke rockets? Ballistic missiles were only successfully tested in 1957.. not WW2 either. They also only really became accurate & reliable in the 70s

While I disagree with the pirate ships and stealth plane suggestion, I actually think you're onto something with the sniper unit. It could be cool to see a really offensive-based infantry with slightly bigger range than the normal infantry, so that it can attack a defending unit while being just out of reach. Maybe it would be a bit overpowered, who knows; to balance it, they would have to suck defensively and be unable to really damage armored units. Unlikely to appear in the game, but again, could be cool.

Pirates didn't really exist during WW2, so no. Also, pirates aren't really aligned to any nations.
Assasins. An assassin is a one-person team. So, no, it can't beat a whole regiment of infantry. But, I think elite-ranged snipers are a cool idea. Maybe the same unit with a name change.
Just because a unit is "cool" doesn't mean it should be added. It didn't exist during WW2. Try playing a modern-day game like CoN if you want modern-day units.
These are nice suggestions. But what exactly do they add to gameplay that isnβt already there?

@DoctorDR1 At the moment Stealth is still a relatively new thing to CoW 1.5 and isn't used as a play style because theres missing elements that render it a bit pointless e.g. there is no stealth planes, or any significant attacking unit so you're very limited to basically using infantry tech branch. It would add an entire new style of play by completing a set stealth units, something for each tech branch.
Aside from anything though, they would just add more variation of gameplay with more unit options, which just keeps the game fresh and interesting, allowing new play styles.
@RBoi200, I take your point about modern units, but the same applies to both rockets & nuclear rockets - the first ICBM was invented & successfully launched in 1957, and the first nuclear warhead attached I think was 1967 (although I might be wrong on that one) - and on top of that, they never actually became accurate & reliable until the 1970s - so to have accurate rockets in CoW is also non-WW2/false, no? - But we allow for them because they're an interesting addition to the game that we like.

Actually, ideas for stuff like transport planes came up within me. The transport planes are just Strategic Bombers with no defense or attack. 5 levels(no max) sounded reasonable, which needs to produced and here are the levels:
1: Able to carry 1 Infantry based unit(militias, infantry, motorised infantry, commandoes) or 1 ordnance(anti tank, artillery, anti air)
2: Able to carry twice of level 1, or 1 light armored units(light tanks, armored cars, SPAA, mechanzied infantry)
3: Able to carry thrice of level 1, or twice of level 2
4: Able to carry thrice of level 1 or twice of level 2 plus 1 heavy armored units(medium tanks, Self Prop Artillery, Tank destroyers) and 1 flying bomb.
5: able to carry thrice of level 1 or thrice of level 2 or twice of level 4 and 1 heavy tank, 1 rockets
Ideas like Mortar Infantry(good at offense infantry, vulnearble to air and light and medium units) and Flamthrower Brigadiers(best at defending and attack against infantry units, vulnerable to air and other units, extremely low health) I gave up as I discovered Rocket Artillery, Mechanzied Infantry had similar capabilities.

YES PLEASE hash out the stealth units!!! I have so much fun with militia and commandos. I wish that the espionage tab were deployable units. It would make them feel more interactive. It would also make it more fun trying to use creativity to pull out your spy units from enemy areas.
In the realm of sneaky stealth units:
Inflatable ghost armies. These would act like legitimate targets until engaged on the ground. They would crumble under the slightest damage. These are also WW2 accurate. Germany put fake wooden poles to look like massive artillery and the US made an inflatable army to confused the D day landing location.
Snipers I don't care how you do it just get them in the game. have them be effective against infantry. Make them like the commandos are for anti armor make snipers the anti infantry unit. Give them perfect stealth until they engage. Then make them break contact to regain stealth.
Make the propaganda buildings influence the areas touching. You should be able to use these to gain territory.
Having militia in enemy areas when the areas flip there should be clues in the news paper. If players only see a flip they will assume its just a day revolt. Militia would work this way.
Spy planes would be sick. Maybe have them drop spies out in enemy areas while you gather intel.

with transport planes, it would literaly just make paratroopers useless
