Now, the AI is very peaceful, not doing anything. It basically lets its resources run out, and have its morale drop.
Maybe the AI nations should be more realistic, like forming alliances, trading with NPCs and players alike, and even declare war on other nations. This would make the countries more interesting.
All AI nations conduct trade via the market, rather than direct diplomatic trade.
The Elite AI does many of these things. As elite AI is more dangerous to newer players it is not used by default, as the instant reaction time of the elite AI would devastate many unprepared players.
Yeah I think AIs should have some sort of feature where you can trade provinces to them for a large price or something, maybe elite AI
