Nuclear rockets

Now, I'm not actually one of complain about units on this game, but Lord, something has to be done about Nuclear Rockets.

You have a unit with great range, which can destroy a stack of 20 units, cannot be shot down and can even wipe out naval units with ease.

Before you say, "hit the cities they're building them in" I tried that, but by God, can they be built fast.

I hate to complain, honestly I do, but come on- I understand this weapon was only ever a prototype during the war and then used in the Cold war, but we had counters for this stuff.

The weapon deserves its damage, its a great unit- but it's extremely OP due to having no counter: these things should at least take flak fire. Its the only way to balance it out.

Just a thought guys, likely to be unpopular, but still a thought

It's good idea!

Good idea for the game, and good idea for the Roleplay!

Maybe something like the Israeli Iron Dome system? MANPADS? Maybe make rocket int able to attack them?

I wish I could offer some counter to nuclear rockets but I can't. I seem to remember seeing a couple used when I was really new and inexperienced but I didn't learn much from their use back then. I was new and inexperienced.

I've been attacked by nuclear bombers, though. Does that count?

Maybe not, because I knew they were there from scouting, spies, and Reveal All Armies. Knowing they were there I split up my stacks, brought in patrolling interceptors, and had my light tanks make a beeline rush to those nuke bomber air bases.

So, I don't really have a whole lot of experience with nuke bombers, either. I've made a couple to see the video but the video didn't play for me (that's okay, I later saw it on YouTube).

Maybe, if I didn't think about things so much, I wouldn't notice who's building nuclear power (and how soon) and figure they've spent more on research than units and, therefore, I should go conquer them a.s.a.p.

Maybe, if I didn't notice things like that, they'd have more time to build nuclear missiles, with which to attack me, and I would have more experience with such things and be able to offer some sort of counter to them. But, as it is, it's very rare anyone builds nuclear missiles in my games. I'm not exactly sure why.

Slow to get them from field to field.

You see, in my total 9 months of player, I've never seen them before: and only now do I understand that they really do break the game. I can't seem to defeat them, I'm losing huge amounts of men every few hours because of rockets: I hate to admit defeat, but now I might have to.

I would agree with you if I had been victim of a nuke rocket attack. Fortunately, I haven't. Ive used them to wipe out 55-60 unit stacks, but I've never been bombed by one. But it's a good idea.
The past is a foreign country.

If they have a viable counter, i'd be ok with them: but they don't and I find that extremely annoying. But, what can be done? I'll just suck it up and move on.

@TankBuster

These units only the great powers had them as Soviet Union or United States. For this reason, I think is better "create" this unit in Day 30 or more.

We can't defend against them though, that is what he is saying.

What you propose?

Yup.

@Quasi-duck @comrade dave

Remember when there was a bug that the nuke bomber had the same power in a convoy as in the air, and you could kill tonnes of units with it? My friend reports that you can do it with nuke rockets now too.
