Nuclear Submarine Should be able to Carry Nuclear Misseles

Firstly, it's within the game's time frame.

First Nuclear Carrier was launched in 1960.

The first sub carrying nuclear missiles was launched in 1956.'

Secondly, it'd add to the games tactics.

Now players really must make sure to build a navy the search and destroy these very real threats. In efforts to get Nuclear Subs near the enemy coasts, major naval offenses may occur. Maybe to push through a sub, or as a decoy to clear out ships from the real direction of attack.

Na, there were only 2 nukes in WWII and they were dropped from planes, it's bad enough we have nukes in the game already. Really shouldn't even have the nuclear subs either for that matter.

This game is from the 1930's to 1960. At the very least, we should have regular missile submarines.

The game is from 1910-1980 (more or less) and Nuclear Rockets give me PTSD, so i'd rather they don't move onto subs. Normal rockets would be fun.

Yea the game is already a spam rocket fest now as it is so yea lets add more.

How about any length of the game in, a nuclear non-proliferation can be passed, disabling the ability to construct Nuclear Weapons, and Nuclear Reactors.

Yea, I have already made the suggestion that there should be a game option for removing the secret tab all together when setting the game up.

Well dont remove the secret tab I use that for a bunch of RR guns. But i mean sill tho idek why there is a nuclear sub or battleship, its a little confusing as to shy those are even there... As for the missle thing, NO that would be SOOO annoying, and you can just use a bunch of missles, at once to completely obliterate the enemy. That would be extremely OP. lets try and stick to history shall we?? :)

Missile submarines are historical. The game timeline dose not end at the end of wwii, but goes at least a decade past wwii.

They are still OP...

They could just hide for their entire existence (unless there is a naval bomber to find them) and nuke the heck out of everything

To be clear, the first SSB did not deploy until 1960. That would be ~15 years past the end of WWII.

The first SSG deployed by the USN had the Regulus nuclear cruise missile. First operational deployment was in 1955.

The first SSG deployed by the USSR was a "Whiskey Single Cylinder" (NATO reporting name) with a single SS-N-3 missile. Operational deployments started no earlier than 1956.

This is a full decade past the end of WWII.

So we are not looking at an Ohio class Trident capable submarine with 24 missiles that can each carry 10 warheads able to hit anything in the world from anywhere. We are talking about relatively short range (500 km) missiles. In the USSR case, it was a single shot weapon. The US boats were 2, 4 or 5 shots, depending on the boat.

Not dramatically OP. Pretty much a Nuke Bomber, launch-able from a submarine, one time use or maybe up to 5 shots, depending on the tech tree.

AND NOT AVAILABLE IN THE TIME FRAME OF THE GAME (ending in 1955)

I, for one, support this idea.

Why not allow the creation of "Missile subs" that can carry rockets-including nuclear ones? It's on the edge of the time frame, but many navies were already working on firing small rockets from ships and subs.

They can carry 3 rockets, including nuclear missiles.

But we can set their speed to something slow, like 20 km/h, to nerf them a bit. And we can also set their HP very low, and set them with no attack values and just 0.1 defense against ships and 0.2 against subs.

This will make hunting down enemy missile subs critical in the later stages of the game. Expect a sudden increase in importance for naval bombers, destroyers, and other subs.
