Other ways to collect airdrops

SO currently to seize an airdrop, you need to conquer a province, but I think that is slightly unrealistic, and it can be really annoying, so I have 2 choices for changes to make so that you can seize the airdrop without going to war or invading a province,

Option 1: Commandos don't just have stealth, but they don't declare war when entering someone's territory, because they are stealth, and/a fire command option to make it so they don't take over provinces, they just kill, and collect airdrops

Option 2: In the espionage tab, have the option to recruit spies/special forces, who steal the airdrop for you.

I think you're missing the point of the air drops. When you're at war already and it drops right in front of you it feels like a bonus. However, when you're not at war, it gives you a hard decision to make by providing some added incentive for going to war.

I've never gone to war just for an airdrop. However, I've cut deals with coalition partners to expand invasion corridors so I could collect them.

i think the whole point of airdrops in this game is to make players conquer provinces

Yeah but that's super unrealistic, imagine you a general not at war, building up an army, and then your airforce drops some supplies in a foreign country, any realistic general would realize that the amount of resources gained would be immediately used in a war and that it is highly unlikely that the technology will be that useful for a number of days, so they would do one of the following:

Forget it,

Try and get it via diplomacy,

Send a special forces unit or spies to seize it secretly with minor casualties,

I too have never gone to war for an airdrop but have seized them if I was already at war.

Yeah, OR if your already allies with the country that has your airdrop located in it, then they could quote unquote retrieve it for you. This way no war, and they retrieve it for you unknowingly they did so.

Go Ukraine!

Complaints of lack of realism about magic airdrops appearing out of no where containing blueprints for products that haven't been invented yet.

Just remove airdrops.
