Paratrooper barracks

I take it from Edepedable, in the Paratrooper Reload

The idea is have the possibility to built some new limited buildings employed only by the Paratroopers. Changing the hard accesibility that exists to produce this kind of troop, that right now is only possible to do in the capital, and affect the time you already have to produce commandos.

This new barracks could be like the real military buildings where the cadets are instructed on flight mechanics and landing, being apart of the normal infantery barrack that only can research, terrestrial branch and his derivatives.

But must be limited by:

Province requirements:

  • barracks lvl 1

  • airport lvl 2

  • industrial complex lvl 1

  • aviation college (paratrooper barrack) lvl 1

And suggesting:

  • Manpower

If the manpower fall to 50/h, you can't produce new cadets, and therefore paratroopers.

  • limit number of the air force aviation colleges

The building must be limited by:

A maximum number according to the VP, increasing from 50 (the VP that comform a nation in the 100 players map), to 50, one, the limit of a new building.

And the level of the paratrooper research.

  • Lvl 1 1 buildings allowed

  • Lvl 2 3 buildings allowed

  • Lvl 3 5 buildings allowed

Example:

You are Spain, and you have conquered France(50) and Italy(50), your VP grow up to 150. You have the possiblity to built 2+ Air force aviation college, without counting your own point 1+ , iqual 3.

If you research the paratrooper to lvl 2, you are allowed to built 3 more. Adding up all, is 6.

Remember the two last are only suggestions

It gets the game too complicated. The way it is now is good.

Not at all, they are talking about it in Paratrooper Reloa, and don't look very well.

What about being able to load the paratrooopers BACK onto a plane for redeployment?

I know, but that would be a cool feature, like you can build the sky trains then reload them with paratroopers, or train regular infantry to be paratroopers at some sort of training camp.

That's not possible in the game, they are a one time use and after that they function as commando's.

Then, the developers could do a plane that act like a aircraft carrier, but instead of planes, this new unit, will take infantery units. :?:

No because in WWII paratroopers were usually parachuted two days before the invasion force to take strategic key points. Once on the ground they kept functioning as a regular unit within the invasion force. Historically there is no need to redeploy paratroopers.

But the planes didn't go anywhere, don't dissapear in the air. That's maybe waht's he's saying...

Fair point, but what would you do with those planes?
Well. Those planes will be a new air unit. Used essencially to transport all class of infantery (only), without consuming the same than the other planes, but having the heatlh or the speed of one of them. Being neccesary to be covered by fighters so don't have a good defence/attack combat stadistic on air.

Carrying troops like the aircraft carrier, but when you move throgh the enemy land the units "jump", and the plane get back to the air base, getting refresh of space for selecting another troop to embark.

This new unit maybe could move beyond the enemy line, or helping in the intelligent carriage. Being equivalent to the transport boat, but in the air.

I like that idea, it was the idea I have been suggesting
