Paratrooper unit

My Apologies if this was already covered but did not find anything in a forum search.

Being that paratroopers were an integral piece in WW2 I was wondering if there are plans to include them and if so when? I know the Germans, Americans, British and Russians all used paratroopers in the war.

Perhaps they can be added in the secret category since they were more like a specialized unit.

Thoughts?

i have mixed opinion for paras.

First off i think paras is a good idea especially for my play-style, they allow me to send infantry to provinces more faster than mech infantry, this is for easy reinforcement especially if you got too big, or sending troops to north Africa. also dropping other units like arty will be a great idea.

on the other hand i dont like to spend too much res for ordinary infantry with the speed of planes if their weaker to a motorize infantry.

but hey im willing to test and use them out.

oh i almost forgot.

Paratroopers should be on the infantry section and not on the secret section, calling them secret is like saying a pistol is better than a tank.

What about instead of adding paratroopers, you just give commandos the option to airdrop from behind enemy lines? Rambo is a good example of this (not completely). He was deep behind enemy lines and wrecked havoc against inexperienced troops.
This is a perfect idea! We would get paras and it would solve the Commando problem. Beautiful!
The past is a foreign country.

Or we could have Rambo drop along with standard paratroopers, everybody wins!

Paras were not elites. They were just as well trained as other men but training was longer because they had to learn how to jump out of a plane and land. Also to set up coloured panels in a T shape and use lamps and stuff like that to guide in other para.

This argument will keep going in circles if we don't agree with each other so here's the deal:

-paratroopers are base line infantry that require oil as upkeep alongside infantry upkeep, the oil upkeep is the same as motor infantry.

-paras will act like ordinary infantry, if on a province with an airfield the paras will "bored" in a transporter with Bomber range, they can travel more faster and longer than an ordinary infantry and definitely more faster than the motor or mech but is weaker to the last two.

-main use is to deploy infantry in areas of the map more faster for, defense, distraction, reinforcement, airial assult, or any other ways you can use them.

-anti-air will use againts air value IF the paras are attacking form the air and not on the ground (which will rip them to shreads so land them close to the province but not on top of the anti-air to avoid it)

*DISCLAIMER*

Paras are baseline infantry with a special ability to fly, go figure.

For commandos we can give them the same ability as paras and that will be the end of it (don't cry to me if your commandos die on the landing because your not paying attention to them)

I think the para should be very weak against tanks, militia level weak. They had no heavy weaponry and platoons would have one PIAT.

The paras don't have even the slightest chance againts tanks due to not having heavy weapons other than a light MG, but being militia level weak is too much, their infantry with para training compare to militia, militia don't have formal training.

I think the paras should have infantry strengh, have its own tech branch in the infantry section, but there are not by any means militia, that will be stupid to send boys who don't even know how to shoot a gun straight. Paras are infantry that are trained not boys.

paratroopers would have some form of defense against tanks, they had Anti-tank weapons in ww2.

Butter doesn't like the idea because his poor little nukes will get destroyed behind enemy lines because of paratroopers. Go figure :P

You do know I rotate my nukes and keep them very far from the front lines, right?
