Mess with the Bill, you get the scorn!
My Apologies if this was already covered but did not find anything in a forum search.
Being that paratroopers were an integral piece in WW2 I was wondering if there are plans to include them and if so when? I know the Germans, Americans, British and Russians all used paratroopers in the war.
Perhaps they can be added in the secret category since they were more like a specialized unit.
Thoughts?

To quote yippieyak, "I would have flying militia". I would love to have flying militia! It would be great. Any anyhow, paratroopers were normal infantry with parachute training, if not better.GreatbigHippo wrote:
What BBB said about the flying militia was right.

I called them flying militia because militia has a chance of fighting normal inf like para would while militia gets steam rolled by tanks since it has no heavy weaponry. Just like para.
I would love to have flying militia. Ideal to take undefended provinces and wait for your troops.
Not really. They would get in the way of enemy reinforcements coming to the front which would lead you to have wasted a bunch of res on them.
I would like them to get in the way of enemy reinforcements. Delays their arrival to the front.
A tank will kill it in the initial first round of fighting(which is instantaneous).
But infantry won't.
Meh. Inf are inf. The fight would be done in an hour or when more men come. I would not be stopped by para.
No, but other people would.
Then they need to learn how to fight militia.
Paras would still be a great asset.
Doubt it. The best way to waste res is just put on the stock market rather than campaigning for a new unit.
Well, OK, you wouldn't use them, but I and half the community would!
And once you all see them fail, you will all storm the forums complaining about how bad they are.
I'm not that kind of guy and you know it.
Okay, the rest will complain then.
SOME will complain, most won't.
So. People will complain about a unit the specifically asked for. See the problem?
It wouldn't do the rest of the community much good, it would just annoy the devs to see people complaining about something they complained about not having, it would also annoy them because they could have spent the time they wasted developing paras fixing the Aircraft carrier bugs. The worst result however would be the dev's reluctance to use the forum as a thought bank for new ideas which would ruin the game slightly as units and maps that are greatly desired would be ignored.
