They were under spanish rule so i guess that is why they have an axis doctrine....
Btw in wow philippines has a pan aisan doctrine.
Hi CoW!
I was really wondering how come Philippines has an Axis doctrine?
They were never been occupied by Germany. As we all know, Philippines used to be US colony and were attacked by Japan, so they should have been under Pan-Pacific or better yet Allied doctrine. Thank you

but they stopped being Spanish by 1898. Surely it should be allied?
They were occupied by Japan but that would just make them pan-asian. I suppose you have to remember that the Philipines didn't like being american. But then that would just make it Pan-asian so...

Yes, Philippines was under the Spanish rule for 333 years, US 48 years, and Japan only 3 years. But the point is, who is the Philippines allied with when WW2 started? Spain lost the Philippines way before WW2 started, and definitely Japan was no friend to the Philippines at that time. So most likely, Philippines should be under the Allied doctrine.
Wait, in which game do the Philippines have an Axis doctrine? In WOW it has Pan-Asian, and in HWW it doesn't exist.
That would be Pacific Conquest.
But did the philippines like being American? Besides, it is an asian country.MALAYA08 wrote:

No Philippines hated Japan despite being a colony of America. Japanese often were merciless and ruthless in World War II. They raped woman and killed babies wherever they conquered.
This is more about geographic position than alliances.
and yes, the japanese were horrific
The doctrine issue has been discussed before the update. If you seek for correct simulation. I suggest you to go some places out.
I think doctrine doesn't matter with historical alliances or anything like that.
So thread makes no sense.
