True, but it would still be quite hard to win considering the lack of cities and troops. Their mainland is easily taken over in a day.WingedAngel wrote:

Playable European minors
For example, Portugal, Belgium, and the Netherlands have colonies in Historical World War that can be useful.
A couple achievements are :
The Expert Defender:
For Netherlands and Belgium
Defend from Germany to defeat Germany
For Portugal
Defend from Spain or defeat Spain

If it was more "play as Dutch East Indies" and happen to have the Netherlands...
Yeah, sorry to burst your bubble, but Bytro already said no.WingedAngel wrote:

Sorry 'bout that

My parents once told me not to play with matches, so I built a flamethrower
Did they give a reason for that decision?NukeRaider33 wrote:

I would have thought that from a player engagement point of view (and therefore also from the point of view of maximising gold purchases, which of course keep Bytro in the black) it would be a good thing.
Many players will choose their own country in real-life on the 25 player map, just for the fun of it. Given that European countries like Holland and Belgium are wealthier and probably have greater internet penetration compared to Manchuria and Mongolia, it would probably be better to have these (and maybe South Africa) as playable countries on the historical 25, than Tibet, Xinjiang and Mongolia.
Thanks for the suggestion. Having more minor european nations playable may be the focus of future maps or certain event maps, but we will likely not change the already existing standard maps.
Thanks for the update.freezy wrote:

The only map this would really even benefit is the 25-player world map even. You'd just have one of two things otherwise.freezy wrote:

A: Like in Conflict of Nations with the Koreas or Israel, a just overall weaker nation that only really good players will do anything with
B: A bunch of off-scale provinces to balance the game.
Maybe combine manchuria and japan? i mean manchuria was basically a puppet goverment from japan.

I think that's the idea, to give better players more of a challenge.temmie1 wrote:

Though to clairfy, these nations were about half-strength. This may be viable for Portugal, Czechoslovakia, and Norway, but not for the Netherlands.Quasi-duck wrote:

So Netherlands was good?

In the 25 player world maybeLittle Racoon wrote:

This would be great if they just added a few more cities for Netherlands, Belgium and Portugal. Adding a few for cities for other countries would make them playable as well.
Agreed
Well, I like adding cities since there's more provinces, but since the distance is the same, the enemy could blitz through them, gain more points than as just one province and harm you a lot. However, if defended well, this is a good idea.
