We were already able to change the national flag, and it would make my roleplaying a lot more entertaining and immersive if we were able to change our nation's name. Since this might confuse people about who you really are, it might be a good idea to make the nation name something like customized name(original name). For example, if I want to change the name of Greece to Byzantine Empire, my name would display as "Byzantine empire(Greece)". This should be a really easy update, and I would love it if you guys could adopt my suggestion!

What do you mean aren't any different? They are much more different, of course, ruins the whole point. With leaders and titles, no one really cares and is bothered. Flags don't show most of the time.
However, the only way to not destroy the whole thing is a predetermined name. But that is basically impractical.
They can get a bot which can keep an eye on inappropriate country names, or perhaps an option which disable you to see the modified country name.
Well, What if I name The Soviet Union, ‘Panama’, or India, ‘Portugal’ for example:- it ruins the point.
Look at OP it would be: Panama(Soviet Union) ect.
