So you want a militia that is more expensive and harder to make?
Mess with the Bill, you get the scorn!
Police
Anyone who's played HoI knows about Police.
I completely agree with them as a unit, tailored to CoW.
Police should be available from the capitol only, due to their unique training.
Police should have low offense, low speed (slower then inf.), and low defense. Perhaps also buff morale building speed?
So, what we are talking about are glass morale building units to subdue provinces we've taken.
Capitol training will limit their amounts, meaning spamming will be hard.
Thoughts?

I tussled with this one myself.Butter Ball Bill wrote:

But, militia seem to be almost made for colonial states (and desperate people losing a war).
And, the capitol explains their special police training too.
But where we depart from militia is in the glass cannon - if they buff morale, which makes historic sense, then we have something very different from militia.
Something different really then any unit in game - a unit that buffs morale to aid occupation.
I wouldn't use it, I prefer tanks, tac bombers and warships to infantry. I only build infantry sometimes. I don't even research militia so I would NEVER use this. I think most people are the same.
These to me feel more in the commando vein.Butter Ball Bill wrote:

Especially with their special ability.
How do you occupy your gains currently?
Me? I invade faster than the provinces can rebel. If a province rebels, I usually conquer the country it rebelled to.
No thank you.
A unit that is weaker than militia is entirely worthless.
Furthermore, any buffs to morale are just silly. Time your attacks in relation to day change, and manage your morale properly. Provinces should rarely rebel then.
