I believe it was a matter of dealing with multi accounts and people who just jump into a game to help a friend.

Why is it that u can only trade provinces after day 7

I believe there’s also a cap on how many provinces you can trade in a single game

The rules on province trade is as far as I know as follows:
1. only one deal a day
2. Not more than a NET of 4 either giving or receiving over the course of the game.
so if you give away 4 provinces on days 7 8 9 10 then on day 11 you could not give another away;
however if o day 11 someone give YOU a province then your net is only 3 and on day 12 you could give another province away.

Some people may have multiple accounts so to prevent people like that to get advantage, the team tries to minimize it. That is also the same for best friends.Khabarovsk krai wrote:

Actually in many teams and coalitions that I have been in we have given a country that is being over run a distant province so they can move their capital and stay in the game, cheering on the team and maybe doing spying and other things with transfers of goods/$$$

They stayed active the whole time into mid-late game
and I guess he was still part of Russia’s coalition cos when Russia swept through Europe Italy got all his cores back.

I was attacking a country that had sneak attacked me, and someone gave him a province in his own country to keep him in the game, as I was going to take all his core provinces. He stayed there til someone asked me where I was planning to attack, and when I mentioned that country, as that guy was still active from his one province, his rescuer wiped him out. I still attacked lol
