Provinces and Tiles being different

You may be asking what I exactly mean by the title. What could possibly be different from a Tile and Province? I believe you can use provinces as a group of tiles, with cities being the exception. Let’s take the Maginot Line provinces as an example. Rather than just 5 provinces, there can be multiple tiles that are grouped into a certain province, with the province outlined darker or thicker than tiles. This would make it easier to take smaller bits of land you may want from somebody rather than a huge chunk that you don’t entirely want. I hope something similar happens soon, as it would mix up the dynamics a bit.
