Puppet States and Annexation suggestion revamped

In the pervious posts many of you have given me many suggestions. The most prevalent being the problem of multi accounting. In this post I will attempt my best to add features that will prevent multi accounters from taking advantage from annexation and puppet states. Some of you have pointed out that it would serve no purpose as the enemy would never willingly surrender. Some of you have also argued that simply capturing the capital would be too easy.

Peace Treaty: In order for the enemy to send you a peace treaty, two conditions must be fulfilled. The first condition is to hold the capital of the country. Once you have captured the capital the enemy will no longer be able to build a new one. The enemy still has a chance to regain it within a 2 day period. The second condition is to destroy more than 40% of the enemies troops. The 40% is based on the total number of troops the enemy has at the beginning of the war. The two conditions are to prevent an easy victory or a multi accounter from taking advantage. If 40% of the enemy troops are destroyed. The multi accounter would rather just keep the account intact instead. A treaty will automatically be sent out to the player by the enemy regardless of their will. The player can choose to accept or reject it. If they accept they are given two options, either to puppet the country or annex it. This automatic feature is to prevent a country from simply holding out.

Annexation: If annexation happens the player will gain control of all the provinces and military forces. However, all provinces are automatically reduced to 25% morale, which will result in numerous rebellions. Although, you have direct control of all the provinces and the military your economic gains will be less than that of a puppet state.

Puppet State: If you select puppet state the player of the country will be the leader of the puppet state. The puppet state would count towards your victory points and be a supporting member of a coalition. You can set limitations on their millitary, the lowest limitation you can set is 40 units. The puppet state will give you 50% of their total financial gain each day. They can not interact with other countries besides you. They will have share map with you, but you will not have share map with them. If you are defeated they will become independent again. If a country declares a war on a puppet state, the country will also be at war with you. If you are attacked by another country then the country is also at war with them.

Reasons: In historical world war when you are fighting France or the Soviet Union. You will remain at war with them until you conquer every last province. It will tie down a large number of troops and take potentially days or weeks. Also, it would be a great improvement to the game play, making it more fun and innovative.

This is awfully low. Perhaps you could say something like 50% of core provinces? That would definitely be a good peace condition.

Not that low if you have to hold the capital for 2 days
