Today, I did my first attack with a nuclear bomb. Really i love it. My suggestion is add radiaton to the game.
Q: What's radiation?
A: This is a negative effect in the zone of the blast of a nuclear bomb.
Q: What does this negative effect?
A: This negative effect does than the territory never will have poblation(0 production) or units. If an unit join in the territory, the unit will die little by little.
Q: This is possible of see in the map?
A: Yes, a special effect for the territory and an icon would be enough.

But personally I have been wondering why there are negative effects for units that pass through.
There isn't, just low province morale.

This is a common misunderstanding. An atom-bomb is extremely efficient and leaves little to no radiation behind. Look at Hiroshima and Nagasaki now, both are bustling cities. They started being rebuilt very soon after the bombs went off, a few weeks at most.

I understand that the direct effect went away after about 8 weeks in both Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but you have to realize that is 8 weeks of radiation effecting the human body. even to this day cancer rates and mental disorders are high in both of those cities. their is still damage to the DNA of the plants and people living in those cities. Not to mention the effect on the moral of an army if it were to pass through a totally destroyed city.

Actually, the studies @oceanhawk brought up showed that it was only children of people exposed to the bomb, so basically exposed themselves as eggs in a woman to the bomb, suffered from health problems. Little to no radiation was left behind as well.
Well, I know that British troops were not happy seeing Ypres in WWI but remember, that was an allied town completely destroyed. Have you seen the Allies in German cities? Those things were ruined.

I don't see any reason to fight. This is just a suggestion, and the staff would do what they think is realistic.

What do you understand by radiation?
In Hiroshima and Nagasaki, more of 100.000 persons(of the total, 246.000 persons) died by the radiation. Many of them died months more later of the blast. Actually, the radiation causes a high probability of acquire cancer and leukemia.

Oh lordy, that was people exposed to the blast for cripes sake. In case you didn't know, cancer is not contagious.

I totally agree, it would be a great feature.
Did you even read anything....?
I know there is a lot of spam but I made some good points, the main one being that nukes only affect those present at the blast.

Hey, your studies showed this to be true.

Cannot what? If that is the end of your sentence you should use a fullstop.

How about we just nuke everyone and force evolve the human race until we no longer have to have these arguments because radiation will not affect us

It doesn't work like that. Radiation causes cancer etc. but only when exposed to it. Not after a nuke, only during the pop.

Well the radiation doesnt just disapear instantly, the rubble and the bodies are radioactive so while you cannot catch cancer(although several individuals on this thread have proven it is possible to catch Autism jk) you can still be exposed to the energy of the decaying particles.
5 May 2016, 20:48
So, exposed to a few particles? Well, that won't do much. Do you know you can get cancer from sunbathing?

Ok and? Why don't you skim it over its pretty accurate even if its a few years out of date

I will not take your word that it is accurate as you support the idea that this thread proposes, which is highly unrealistic. Also, the sight looks kind of backwater-ish and shady.

@ShadowHawk5 most of us agree.. and have nice debates but.. yea quasi duck would drive ya to drink lol..
but at least keeps things.....
as for quasi.. Im sorry.. over estimated your intellectual ability to pick up... again sorry, guess we must remember this from now on.
after the bomb goes boom. There is this thingy called a fallout.. For example it goes into the sky( the radiation from the original blast) Then a storm comes, and brings all that radiation right down onto the land. This can be done well away from the original blast, depending on many factors, such as wind, landscape etc.
Now when that rain comes down, although depending on its level of radiation, its more than likely that you wont die instantly, then again that depends on how close to the blast you are. But you may not have instant effects, however if you will more probably get radiation poising
here is a bad audio verson of what it may look like..

Oh for crying out loud I was supporting you fully look back at my previous posts, until you started saying that visiting ground zero after the blast has no harmful affects!
