That's a complex idea, but Id make use of it if it were implemented. Intense coordination of artillery and aircraft was one most effective ways of killing German tanks by the USA as Shermans and various other Allied tanks on the Western front weren't on even terms with the better armored and armed German ones. In fact not only infantry could call in for artillery and air firepower, if an allied tank spotted a superior German one or they could simply call in for support rather than engaging in a risky battle is some cases.
Radio Operators
Currently warships do not have much of a use other than killing convoys and making sure other people can't kill your convoys so I came up with what might be a nice idea. It could go with air units and artillery too. It is radio operators.
Radio operators played an important role in operations in WWII during operations like Overlord and Market Garden. In Overlord, radio operators would call in naval gunfire to take out strategic positions e.g. an MG nest to help troops move up. In Market Garden, operators would call in Typhoons for air support.
This unit would have to be in direct combat with the enemy to be used and would give a 25% boost at its highest level to the unit is associated with e.g. naval radio operator - warships, CAS radio operator - aerial units, artillery officer - artillery units. It would be expensive enough since it would give such a good boost and provinces can only have so many operators in them before it tops off so the unit doesn't become OP to simulate a load of requests coming into one offshore ship that only has so many guns.
Mess with the Bill, you get the scorn!
