railroad guns are unrealistic

Hi, everyone. I’m a noob and maybe don’t understand the game much. But I still think the RRGs are unrealistic in call of war. In call of war, the range of RRGs are about 100km. However, actually their main function was to bombard fortifications and are not good at dealing with other units.

That’s unrealistic but being able to haul an army and conquer continents in DAYS using ww2 technology is not?

You’re right, from a realism perspective, RRGs are ridiculous! They took three days to take apart and put back together, but here you can shoot and scoot with them.

In the hands of a skilled and active player, they can be fairly powerful.

Also unrealistic is their availability.

Stacks of them? How many RRG's were there actually in WW2?

The ones pictured? Not more than a hundred. Railroad guns in general? Thousands.

There was one made ever. I agree no stacks of them ever existed nor could exist. I think the game should literally cap them at one and extend the range.

It makes me laugh thinking about army engineers trying to load this unit onto a transport ship... That would be one tough day.

They don't care. Just like the fighting airplane convoys they won't admit its grossly broken and just trash it or massively nerf.

Two were made in Germany and I believe one in the UK, not to mention smaller types of rail road guns. You think that is unrealistic? You can walk across the entire world in a week or two in this game…

They just nerfed railroad guns, check the news before you make such assumptions. As for planes, they are easy to counter. Just spam AA or interceptors alone, the lower cost and higher number wins out. Or, just counter with your own planes. You want planes nerfed? They would be pretty unrealistic, considering the huge effect they had on ww2, and their crucial role in bringing down the Nazi Germans and Imperial Japanese.

Im talking about the stupid convoys the planes turn into when you run over them

Who knew that planes that can’t take off would become useless and mostly defenseless. Many are the battles with planes that have been captured on land by fast blitz’s towards their location.

I always thought the "day counter" in the game was just the amount of days that your particular game has been going on.

It makes more sense if you think of 1 real life day as being equal to 2 months in game.

General consensus is that a game day represents about 6 months of real time.

Point still stands. You can send ships deep into the ocean and shoot the enemy forever without ever needing to dock at port again. You and easily occupy a billion+ people with no resistance after a few months. It also seems to take weeks for any army to land or dock in a coastal province.
