This has been brought up before but I would really love if Bytro could fix this. When you attempt to reinforce a stack of units it's a coin flip on whether or not they will actually merge with the stationary stack or become separately engaged with the enemy as a separate stack. This occurs in s1914 and io1919 also. This is the number one thing that bothers me about these games and I don't understand why Bytro doesn't put some effort into making it work perfectly. It's been like this a long as I can remember, despite it being such an important part of the game that can make the difference between winning and losing. It's a game mechanic flaw that makes me much less likely to play than I otherwise would.

This is so true… I’ve made or broken offensives depending on if stacks get reinforced or not. I always wondered if there was a system for it but I guess not. Hopefully they can give some kind of explanation one day..

It's also an exploitable mechanic if you know how, to prevent someone from reinforcing cleanly

That is true. If you use the fact that you can attack someone 5km away then you’ll be able to lock that unit(s) from reinforcing.

This should be top-of-the-list, high priority for the devs to fix. It's one of those issues that I've accepted over time, even though it should 100% be fixed without delay.

It seems like they could change it so that a marching stack won't initiate an attack within 5km due to a generic game refresh, like doing a force march mode change, or cancel delay etc, but would only attack within 5km if given an explicit attack command.
