Its all or nothing. But if you take mp for upgrade the unit should be healed at least
Remove Manpower Cost to Upgrade Armour
I want to upgrade my tanks in my match but I can't because I don't have enough manpower. I think this is dumb because they're just changing the tanks not the crews. Are the old ones taken out into the woods and shot or something?
I am using the Soviet doctrine so maybe that is the issue xD
Either way I think the need for manpower to upgrade tanks should be removed. It's already really annoying having to upgrade them in the first place.
EDIT: After Ivan's suggestion, if it does take MP to upgrade the unit then it should be healed, since that means fresh troops have arrived.
Another suggestion was to expand this change to all units for the same reason, as it is an equipment upgrade.

Tbh I think this should count for all units, not just armour cuz like you said upgrading is not a change of soldiers. it's just upgraded equipment

Yeah this is also true.AMG Morgan wrote:

I can agree with this but i see why they have it so people are having to decide if the units worth upgrading or just having for auxiliary. An so people arent just mass upgrading units
This cost is just cancer though. I didn't even bother researching a lot of stuff cos I knew I would have had to upgrade my troops.
I just send units into battle to die since its cheaper to make new ones. But you are playing the most spam doctrine
Well it's not spam, I just don't zerg rush my units into the enemy
I've taken very few casualties this match but I have also been blessed with stupid enemies haha.
Depends on the doctrine., I guess personally i like to build low level units and upgrade them. to high levels very quickly works well . but as comintern i think your better off building new units rather than upgrade. also don't send them to needlessly die like tarkov does, put them in your stacks so you have more health. Or use them as home defense unit

Upgrade units, skip one level. Like from 1 -> 3. Upgrade are worth it
when upgrading units they have the same percentage of health but more hp. It would make sense that the same unit now have more soldiers. On top of that, CoW takes care of the maintainance and supply of the units, so some manpower also need to go to the mechanics, cooks, truck drivers, and medics.
Even if that is true, the increase does not warrant the cost. Looking at my Soviet MT going from lvl 1 -> 2, that is a rise of 40 to 50 HP but the manpower cost is the same as half the total unit manpower cost.TomtheBuilder wrote:

It does, upgrade is a must. Just skip a level and upgrade then.
