That sounds really good.
Request ability to nickname maps per player
Perhaps this could be cached in the player's browser info?
Example: World at War 1932 - 100 Players (game w/ Dantei)
Bold is what the current title shows on every world map game. Anything in parentheses would be a nickname set by the individual player, seen only by them in their games list.
I believe this addition would create swifter joining of the intended map you are looking for, rather than struggling to remember the map numbers.

The game creator can already assign map names.

Yes. World Maps are automatic, and do not get names by creator. This is for the players joining, so they can differentiate their maps from each other.

A suggested design would be this:
World Game 2
GameID
But why name world maps if you cant create them....
We are not naming them. We are attempting to organize our games list.
When you have, say, 3 world maps open, it may be difficult to remember which map is which.
If we could have those 3 world maps say:
World at War 1932 - 100 players (Tibet)
World at War 1932 - 100 players (Game w/ Dantei)
World at War 1932 - 100 players (Europe)
We can label it whatever we want, and only WE can see it, not other players.

Why do people seem to have trouble grasping this idea?
To be fair, it is Squiggles we're talking about

Good point, he doesn't even know a Shakespearean quote hahahaha, such a peasant!StrangeTalent wrote:

Good suggestion.
"I came, I saw, I conquered" Written in a report to Rome 47 B.C., after conquering Pharnaces at Zela in Asia Minor in just five days; as quoted in Life of Caesar by Plutarch; reported to have been inscribed on one of the decorated wagons in the Pontic triumph, in Lives of the Twelve Caesars, Julius, by Suetonius.

Not a bad idea. Helps good with organizing, and you dont have to remember a number all the time.StrangeTalent wrote:

Or the game operators could give the world maps individual names, or we could just ignore the people with inferior memory, or you could get a notebook and write it down if it's that hard to remember, or (100e+1,000,000^100) other things besides this.

Its not really a problem for me, I have some of the "good memory" you speak ofQuasi-duck wrote:

We use Discord and have everything in different channels, but it can still get overwhelming.

Yes, those chats are very overwhelming.StrangeTalent wrote:

I second this, as I've had to mute almost all those channels except for the ones I'm in. Even then it gets overwhelming and confusing. If new users wanted to play multiple games, this would help them immensely if they could give local nicknames (only they can see it) to their games.StrangeTalent wrote:

In addition: Having a label that shows what country you're playing as under each game would also be helpful. This is primarily how I organize and remember my games.
I am for this idea. I hate having 4 Road to War games going at the same time and no idea which is which beside the days played.

Attack rapidly, ruthlessly, viciously, without rest, however tired and hungry you may be, the enemy will be more tired, more hungry. Keep punching.
