this also it doesnt help that there excuse of making it approachable for new players is a lie.... im a new player and found it easy to approach and learn the game so easy infact i won my first game
Resources
I don't know about you but the overhaul of the economy breaks a large part of the game. Generally we produce units that require certain types of resources so that we could trade with excess resources but with the new update Today the only commercial offers on the stock exchange are the bot/ai countries. This means that after a while of playing a game as the number of AI decreases there will be no more offers, this breaks all the market and break nicely worries in the diversity of game play. I found that the previous economic model was much better. Give weight to this claim by responding to the survey

Please restore deleted resources because new game concept is wrong. The latest changes have caused the game to lose its strategic and economic depth, which was caused by the diversity of raw materials. Now you can't build a plane without food, what a joke (Is an airplane made of food and burns fuel or made of fuel and burns food?). I suggest that you should not only restore the removed raw materials, but go a step further and try to add those present in Supremacy 1914, such as coal, which would introduce electricity, which would increase the efficiency of factories or mines, airports or raise morale in the province. The next raw material would be fish, which, next to grain, satisfied the demand for food. I think that ultimately a combined resource system like in Supremacy 1914 would be a good idea to implement in this game. If you want to remove something, war bonds are in first place.
with 5 resource advantage of comintern was very low , when you got a supply box it was useless usually , you couldnt produce most of units because you had lesser resource always from something , now you can produce artillery and rocket artillery with same resourcesMaximusus wrote:

I don't agree with you, now I can't produce a ship, plane or infantry at the same time in different cities because they use the same resourcesUndaunted wrote:

I was playing with japan at x4 speed server , I kept invade lands and build economy at the same time , at 3th day it is 12th day at speed server I won the game yesterday with coalition victory I had 1210 points ,250 units and 600 provinces , my resource productions hourly with level 3 rural and level 5 urban factories at 11 province ( 6+5 ) was like that +38k money ,+11k food , +6500 manpower ( no recruit station ) , +12k iron , +10k oil , japan has 2-2-1 urban and 2-2-2 at rural production do you think I couldnt produce infantry ship plane and artillery at the same time ??Maximusus wrote:

1 infantry + 1 artillery + 1 battleship + 1 interceptor dont need even 5k food , my hourly production was x2 more than this and my doctrine wasnt even comintern , can you imagine this with comintern doctrine ?
as I understand everything you said confirms that removing resources caused poor optimization regarding types of doctrines. Previously the game was improved and optimized for 7 resources for years, which is why it reached the optimum and to achieve the same now again it takes more time. I consulted the situation with other players on the maps and most of them think that the current changes simplify the game too much and are a step in the wrong direction. In my current game, building just one tactical bomber takes 4.1k food 2.5k oil 3.2 cash, and my food income per hour is 4774 and you know how much food this bomber needed in the previous version ... 0 and these were its requirements 1.5k goods, 1.5k oil 2.9k rare materials and 3.3k cash. Do you see how absurd the resources required to build a tactical bomber are now ... food, the entire fuselage with reinforcements with equipment made of food. I'll be honest, total absurd, additionally, look how many resources this bomber now requires: 4.1k food + 2.5 oil + 3.2 cash = 9.8k in the old version, 1.5 goods + 1.5 oil + 2.9k rare materials + 3.3k cash = 9.2k. I'll be honest, in the new version you need more resources which are additionally absurd to build a given unit.
tactical bomber 4.1k food ?? I looked with pan asian doctrine level 7 tactical bomber need 3.8k food and 2.3k oil and you need to reach 22th day to have them , maybe you should start to think about why you have only 4774 hourly food production after 20 days from beginning ???? as I said at previous message I had a 11k food production at 12th day with an island country , now you get supply boxes only for 3 resource not for 5 so it increases your chance to produce new units when you got food from box you have chance to produce many units , for example at previous system when you got rare from boxes you couldnt use it if you dont go to planes or heavy tanks , with new system when you invaded a enemy city you will get resources from one of 3 resource type you will see messages like that +2557 oil +2779 money captured , at previous one there were 5 resourceMaximusus wrote:

with previous system you could have million food at game and it was totally useless when you sent a offer to someone about food trade it was useless , now you can spend them easily and people want to trade them
Maybe take a look at the German unit tree, I'm surprised you're talking about it since you have no idea that German units cost the most.Undaunted wrote:

Maybe you should start to think that no everybody use gold in game,or play often with more demanding players.
I don't care how many resources you had in the previous map because on the next one you won't have the same because of whether you have double resources what country you play as, i.e. how many resources your units use and so on, there are too many variables here so it's not reliable so this argument is invalid.
You use the argument of supply drops as if the entire concept of the game is based on them, forgive me but that is not the case, supply drops are just an addition to the game because they do not contribute much and often you cannot use them because they are located on allied territory, because if they were, as you claim, a fundamental part of the game, there would be no need for provinces with resources, but as you can see, that is not the case. So this argument is also incorrect. From what I see, I've been playing this game longer than you, and as I remember, at the beginning there were no supply drops in this game.
Imagine that following your idea that less is better, let's leave only one resource, then for conquering a city or taking supply drops according to you will always get what we want, don't you see the ridiculousness of this vision. And what's wrong with seeing 5 resource messages when conquering 5 cities and now I have only 3, this is not a logical argument.
If you understand the game well and not just play with gold, you know that different units have different properties, and so, for example, infantry defends cities well, so you should build an army that is diverse, to use the advantages of certain units and hide the disadvantages of others. The above argument was intended to show that no resource in the game was unnecessary because the game was well balanced over the years, unlike the current one. So I don't remember a time when the food resource was useless in any game as you described -- go to the archive records and check what units used food and whether they were useless units.
Imagine that if you only have one resource, there will be such an effect that people will trade it because it will not be something else... I hope you will not push bull..... like now it is good because you can trade and supposedly it was not like that before, I do not remember it like that because previously depending on the variety of resources in your country (you had more oil, someone had more goods..) and your location you built different armies with a fleet advantage when someone else did not have access to the sea or ocean, they built a larger land army, which is why you used different resources and now you have 3 resources from which you compose everything, so you build more units from the same resources. I can see from your posts that you are striving to simplify the game, so your goal is a moment when there will be only one resource in the game or none at all, I, like many other players, do not want such a game.
In the current game I have a case where everyone wants to trade food but not other 2 resources. Does this confirm your claim that the remaining 2 resources are useless? I wonder why you didn't comment on my proof of the absurdity of the resources needed to build some units, for example bombers. Perhaps this argument cannot be refuted in a logical way.
ok man do it what you know , by the way my membership 11.07.2015 yours 13.07 you are not playing longer here than meMaximusus wrote:

it is about you , your playing style not about game it is not about axis or pan asian I predicted you talking about level 7 bomber units and you say you have 4774 hourly production when you researched level 7 units , it is about you not the game you need at least 20 day to research level 7 units and 4774 hourly production is terrible bad I say again it is not about game it is your problem , borneo has 4+2 = 6 food production province you can try it if you have problem about food
and I don't play with gold , having a good economy doesn't need gold , I can use supply drops always because I don't join to coalitions at first days like a newbie , you can give offer to people some resource or money to get it without fight if you cant do it , it is your problem not about game
I sorry I misread your membership date.
I Sorry, but you're avoiding the conversation about the main topic of this post, and my game has nothing to do with it. The topic is the new update and the removal of resources that changed the entire balance of the game, so please address it. I personally don't see any advantages of introducing this update, and I rather see its disadvantages and I am not convinced by the creators' arguments that the game is gaining new, better economic and strategic depth. In my opinion, it is quite the opposite.
That's why I became a resource beggar, panhandling ridiculously large amounts of resources from my big fellas in the coalition.
Really dislike the changes and I consider searching for another game. As it's now, it sucks, compared to the point we were coming from. The challenge to manage production and trading your ressources to the right time was for me a lot of fun and there went even some hours offline into that to optimize. I obv can see the point, that for new players this might be easier, but hell, the make a tutorial-map and maybe the 22 Europe that way, but leave the other maps the old way.
