Would you care to explain what the improvement entails?

Whoever is neutral doesn't know what OG CoW truly was before this stupid update.

Funny intermediary results analysis:

- @Bandersnatch can't explain why he likes the downgrade nor has he shown he understands the criticism on other threads = disqualify?

- @BeerBelly is a golder, so, that would mean he likes it because he spends less? This would be the opposite of the goal of the downgrade!

- @Undaunted doesn't seem too much in favor elsewhere but voted for the downgrade. Mysterious...so, maybe he would care to explain what he sees as betterment of the game?

All in all, an overwhelming number of poll particiants (14) are not happy with the downgrade. Add beerbelly spending less to buy victory, this makes 15 arguments against the downgrade already, only 2 for it and 3 neutral (which was a trick question, bc neutrality is impossible in this issue, unless one has no clue)

at previous system there was 5 type , probably supply boxes wouldn't make happy to you too much like new system

when you invaded a enemy city , you will get only 3 resource type , at previous system you will get from 5 resource type now coming with extra resource you can produce more unit what you want

at previous system when you invaded a food city and got food of enemy it would be useless mostly , it is similar situation with supply boxes

if you have a strategy at the beginning of game you have many options to choose true country for you

for example borneo has many food , Greece , North usa , Egypt , UK , Odisha has many oil

do you want to play with allies and produce many planes ??? ok from oil countries all are suitable outside of egypt now

do you want to stay away from asian interceptors and have no ally at the beginning to play with you ??? odisha is out now

if you want an peaceful island go UK , if you want comintern neighbours and being at the middle of action while growing relaxly go greece

now you can produce more nuclear unit , you dont need to wait for 10k rare

now advantage of comintern is more meaningful , with 3 resource , production cost and upkeep cost might help to your economy and of course comintern artillery and infantry has cost bonus too as extra

and similar reasons

new system is better at previous one food was most useless now metal is most useless

I dont care about dumbification , year is 2025 who will keep to play a browser game while everyone having consoles game computers or similar things ?? do you think really 15 year old boy will play this game and use credit card of his mum ? only old guy will play who have some money and cant shoot to other guy's character at equal games so he will decide to be a golden rambo here , only they can watch to screen along all day to see their unit will go another province after 3 hours

I admit that the Food surplus was indeed there before and now it is Metal. Just the Metal is ridiculously much. I at least did not experience that with Food before that early in the game. Now you are basically drowning in Metal from Day 1.

But do you not experience a larger - albeit relative - scarcity of Food and Oil? It is mostly relative, because there is more of the 3 rss than before, but one is also more short of one or the other than before, because everything requires the same.

It also renders a large number of units obsolete, as explained.

I think that is hugely annoying.

Another valid point you in fact make is about the character of the game and thus the failing marketing efforts towards younger players. @freezy @Geden @Bytro Labs This is one of my complaints towards Bytro. They cannot succeed in competing with those other games for - what you call - 15 yr olds, because the game will never suit there needs.

It is indeed better suited for people who prefer a bit of complication and thought and additionally are not in a hurry. Most likely that would be older players or at least those who are established enough to have the time and freedom to play a long game with slow moves. On top of that, this type of players will have more means at their disposal than Mummy's credit card!

I do not necessarily agree with all your points, but we can agree to disagree on a part of it

The solution to the deficiency of Metal (or whatever resource it may be) is to identify the resource(s) you consume the most from the units you produce, and choose a country that starts with two cities of that resource(s).

And how would that help newer players?

They wouldn't know which country has what.

I think the Resource Reforged update had an overall negative effect on the state of the game.

It seems even slower and with less interesting choices/dilemmas, combined with a more prominent feeling of scarcity, which you can do nothing about...except spend gold.

Concerning the dumbification:

- for new players: that cannot work due to the characteristics of the game

- to entice players to buy more gold: that might work for a short while, but not in the long run

Their stockprice is in the gutter after what was probably a pump&dump scheme, on which Stillfront ofc made a bundle, but Bytro-team not. They only provided a backstory for what most likely was a pump&dump.

With Stillfront going down and the promised golden mountains still at the horizon, I suspect Bytro still basically has to fend for itself, while incurring extra costs for contributions to Stillfront.
