That's right. We lost CoW 1.0 and now Bytro remove canvans graphic. They want destroy this game completely.

Using a new technology isn't a goal in itself; you should ask WHY you are using it and how the new tech enhances your user's experience. Roko, thatβs fair, and Iβm not the right person to answer that. My point to GrandEmpire was that not everyone hates enhanced graphics.

I posted the following in another thread but think it would be better viewed here. I am finishing my last game today and have decided to go with option 2. It's a sad day and I will miss this game.

You have made the game unplayable for me.
Yesterday Canvas was removed as an interface display. There was no warning. The problem for me with that is that I cannot see replacement interface. After a couple of minutes play my vision starts to go and I get a headache. Everything starts to wobble like some bad hallucination.
I have logged a ticket about this. The mod tried their best (and a big thank you to them for their efforts) but there are only really two solutions.
1) Canvas interface is returned.
2) I quit the game I have enjoyed playing (and paying for) since 2015.

I used to Canvas mode. If They delete Canvas mode, I will quit the game. New game mode it's very diificult and ugly. I have never played the new mode. Together we will win and restore the old mode!

The colors in the new graphics are bright, hideous, and cartoonish.
Here is the rub...Bytro won't change any of it and have outsmarted any/all of us who blindly kept playing on Canvas.
1) With the 'inferior' graphics being the default for 2 years a substantial number of players have never even seen Canvas.
2) Canvas is gone so they can't even log in and switch to see what the fuss is about. Bytro has the numbers.
3) Bytro has kept metrics and know how much, as a group, we are worth to them and expected losses from the Canvas group if we take our resources elsewhere.
4) To have kept Canvas, we would have had to keep all gamers informed of Canvas and had a substantial number to click over and use it. That was where our energy needed to be. It is now too little too late.
5) We are an expendable customer. You and I are a business decision that has already been written off. They will have a couple of people get on and try to soften the blow and save as many of us as they can. I don't believe for one minute that anything we point out will result in them changing the Enhanced Graphics. If you believe otherwise just ask yourself this simple question..."Have they attempted in the past 2 years to make any changes to the new graphics?"

Dont u guys get it, they have made it pretty clear:-
1) we are a "small but vociferous" group, of long time players;
2) its our fault we never gave them feed back on WebGL, ignoring the fact we avoided it;
3) they slammed WebGL down our throat without asking;
4) its economics they dont want to run two versions.
Discount the fact that the long term core players dislike this, Bytro dont value your dollars and dont value your input, despite all logic that says the hard core long term player is probably both the highest revenue earner per capita and the best source of feed back for the game to improve.
Get over it, move on or wait for them to improve on their backwards step - they aint listening (read the arrogant threads from FREEZY if you want to see their poor attitude.
My advice tell the world what shits BYTRO are and damage their "good" name.
