Although I have never faced this problem it nevertheless exists. Massive missile strikes (nuclear as well as conventional) against players who are asleep or away from the game for any other reason. In real life US NORAD or Russian Air-Space Force never sleep - there is always someone on alert. If any country tries to deliver a massive missile strike launches will be detected and a retaliation strike will be launched immidiately - so before american missiles (just for example) reach Russia Russian missiles will be launched in return. In the game there have been a number of situations when scoundrel players covardly launched massive strikes against sleeping players ruining their economics, airfields preventing them from launching retaliation strikes which is totally unfair. In real life unpunished missile strikes (against strong powers like Russia, USA, UK, Germany, France, China etc.) are impossible. This is why I beleive that the developers should make available retaliation strike function. This is how I see it: in missile (nuclear and conventional) fire control menu there should be a function "Pre-set a retaliation strike target". And if any missile is launched toward your territory or any enemy unit crosses border a retaliation strike goes off on preset targets. (I would aim at enemy's airfields and large industrial centers). And before launching a missile there should be a notification "Are you sure? A retaliation strike might be launched.
I have never faced this problem because in most cases my country has the most powerful economy and army and early in the game I warn everyone in the newspaper that I will not tolerate nuclear plants and simply devastate the violator. But the problem is that there are players whom I won't be able to enforce not to build nuclear plants and I don't want to wake up some day and see my country wasted with a covard nuclear strike delivered when I was sleeping.

yadda yadda yadda, I don't want to take responsibility for having my sleep schedule as clear as day to see. You are less active then the other player and so he uses that to his advantage, that's how this game works.Berlovsky wrote:

In no serious game will you face an oponent who has massed so many nucleair weapons they can take out their enemy. Except maybe for blitzkrieg games. Other than that, they usually can't be mass produced because of economical limitations.
The units also have a certain range, limiting they reach and making it unable to totally destroy your country.
Nevertheless, the suggeted option could be interesting.
Germany does not have nuclear capabilities.Berlovsky wrote:

However, I see your point.
