I think it's time to change the settings for the AI to give players nation the right of way.
At the moment it's that the most nations gives you the right of way at day 8, if you have given it before and the rest of the AI nations gives the rights to pass at day 9 or 10. This thing that the AI gives the right of way to other Nations is the biggest problem for new players, the don't know it and will ambushed by veteran players on day 8.
I think it's time to change this tradition.
Ideas:
1) Use the settings from the elite AI, with the global popularity.
2) The right of way for players is only given to 10% of the players units , to make it harder to ambush the AI and other Players.
3) Give only a small chance for players to get the right of way in other nations, and every time the player attack a other nation it must give a chance that the AI is cancel the rights.

I still think there should be another option available.
Shared map, but NO right of passage. (Or for GM shared intel + no right of passage)
Sometimes you don't mind sharing info/intell but you don't want foreign troops on your soil.
And I personally don't understand why airplanes can't use foreign airbases if they have right of passage.
It makes no sense. shared map if for info, not the use of forts/air bases.

Hmm, it seems to me that I am alone with this idea

Don't think you're alone, but it's part of the game.

I never had a reply, but I just noticed this is 'fixed'/ adjusted.
You can now use their airports/ air base if you have right of way!
