doesnt traffic already slow down 50% in enemy territory?
Roadblocks and Minefields
Paratroopers may actually get used if we had things to block off roads. Roadblocks, Minefield all could slow traffic through enemy territory. This is my opinion but I believe combat would be better if there were more stalemates where you have to out think your opponent. The best combat occurs when both sides are locked in with assets unable to flee. Minefields could also cause damage if you select the high speed march while traveling through.
This could also be used to make spies actual units on the ground. It would be fun having to find routes to sneak in spies.

You are correct yes, enemy territory does slow down unit movement. As a deployable these would cause units to to slow even more or even stop till the threat is addressed. This stop would allow missiles to hit or cause the enemy to choose another approach.Electrio wrote:

that sounds cool, but would they affect different units more, for instance if people are spamming armoured cars would certain doctrines minefields affect them different, or would there be certain mines that would do a lot of damage to certain units?
These would be great for catching fast movers for sure. That is the intention. Having a mechanic that creates damage to units would be interesting.Electrio wrote:

I agree that it would be interesting.
It would be great if a unit to remove and lay mines, the so-called sappers, could be implemented.
The sapper could lay down 2 types of mines, AT mines and Anti infantry mines. So if a infantry unit crosses over an AT minefield, they won't be as damaged and vise versa. Then there can be a cooldown timer so the sapper unit has to rest before laying down the next minefield. Naval mines would also be coolpod_than wrote:

Is the model such that deep sea mines damage submarines and shallow water mines damage surface vessels?Gloubular wrote:

You are talking about minesweepers clearing mines.
Yeah. I think more variety will make the gameplay more fun and competitive.pod_than wrote:
