Rocket Fighter in 100 player map range is only 150 Km

It can not be moved from city to another one flying used unless there are (so so so so) close airport

if it possible to make another 1 or 2 more research levels so it becomes

(increased by 62 km per level

LV1 150 Km

LV2 212 Km

LV3 274 Km

)

If you like

maybe

(increased by 150 km per level

LV1 150 Km

LV2 300 Km)

but Like now this weapon is dead

useless defender before it become useless attacker

Agree completely. With that range, I've never bothered to research it. I think it should have more research levels, and have a larger starting range.

The past is a foreign country.

I feel like most secret researches have been designed to allow you to make really strong units in lategame or in midgame (like commando's).

We all know the rocket intercepter totally misses it's purpose because of a lack of range. It's a waste of research and production. Allowing it to be upgraded would make it a potential lategame unit as well, I'm not sure it is meant to be like that. However even with the suggested range increase it stays crap imo (aka it's by far not enough).

The rocket interceptor costs rare materials, if we want to build this unit midgame, it must be good, otherwise the rare materials is best spend on commando's or industrial complexes. It should give a huge boost for a players airforce, it must be really helpfull in gaining air superiority over the battlefield. So it must have stats that allow it to do so. There are multiple ways to achieve it, I put my idea below.

If the rocketinterceptor would have the same range as a lvl 1 interceptor it will be the best interceptor untill his range fals off to much (like level 3 interceptor I gess). It will help to gain air dominance in early midgame and players might buy some of these in exchange of delaying another industrial complex (both cost rare materials).

And there you have it, a great secret weapon that can put its mark on midgame.

But...

I'd rather jump off a cliff than waste my rare materials on Commandos, Railroad guns or Rocket Interceptors. Commandos are bullshit 'cos they are only able to be produced in the capital, and is basically treated as elite infantry. They should have a 'buff' like being the land submarines, being undetectable unless in large stacks or in combat.

Railroad guns (and in my opinion artillery too) are bullshit because they barely do any damage.

Rocket Interceptors are bullshit because of their lack of range. A Gloster Meteor had an operational range of 950 kilometres. A Me 262 had an operational range of 1050 km.A Lockheed P-80 Shooting Star of over 2000 kilometres. The first Soviet jet, the MiG-9, of 800 km. And the game is from interwar period to early Cold War. And the jets I just mentioned are first-generation jet fighters. We could have up to 6 levels of jet fighters.
