How did a rocket destroy 8 air units while they were on patrol? I don't understand.
Rockets against patrolling air units
So 1 lvl 4 rocket can take out 8 air units on patrol, which are on it sametime, while it is patrolling on it with 15 minute lap time. I think 1 rocket lvl 4 should not be capable to take out 8 air units on air while patrolling by just shooting at it. I think rockets should be made less attack powered on air units on patrol.

This game right now allowes to do that.
How are you targeting the rocket? Against the aircraft units' position in the air?
by clicking attack of course.
Logically, it should not be possible for a rocket to attack aircraft units in the air. On the ground, yes; in the air, no. I would not have thought the game's parameters would permit it.
see? commando guided rocket strikes!
did i tell u about the time i took a province right after it launched a rocket, and the rocket flew back to the province and turned into a little truck at the airfield?

This is interesting, and perhaps gives me new insight into an incident I witnessed last summer when I launched 15+ rockets against an L5 industrial complex, with L3 infrastructure and an L3 air base, in London. The UK AI had a wing of 12 or 15 fighters patrolling above the city. When my rockets leveled the buildings in the city, they also destroyed something like half of the aircraft units patrolling above it.
Let's ask our resident expert on arcane unit characteristics and strange battle outcomes . . . . @Restrisiko, what do you know about these rockets vs. aircraft on patrol scenarios.
Oh yeah, I remember many bugs with rockets in the past, often after updates, and mainly after the change that gave missiles the ability to attack targets on own territory ...MontanaBB wrote:

... e.g. : launched rockets turned back when they lost their target -- rockets wanted to fly instead of driving with trucks when they're relocated to another airport -- later, when the striking truck drivers finally went back to work, the still drunken drivers didn't find the airports -- for a time single-patrolling interceptors were able to shoot down V2s ...
... and shooting down planes in the air by rockets was also possible, I'd done that some times last year. Sometime later then it was no longer possible and since then I havn't tried again - but it goes again, I've just shot down some planes ...
... perhaps has the now usual daily oiling puzzled the control mechanics of the rockets already again - so rockets are always a weapon with a surprise effect ...

.... .. so beware of caltrops, spring-guns and booby traps.

Planes patroling in a war area can receive damage by the fight going on on the ground. Therefore it might happen in rare situations that they also receive the damage of a rocket impact.
@freezy: But patrolling aircraft cannot be targeted in the air by rockets, correct? Any damage they may receive is a result of "blowback" from damage on the ground?freezy wrote:

Didn't try targeting air units with them so I cannot answer the first part, but the second part is very likely.
Hmm i am clearly writing that on patrol units were hitted by rocket and 1 lvl 4 rocket killed 8 air units hmm. So there is no question, i would just want that to be changed.
